Worth the listen

I bought the first 2 books. It was good enough to buy the box set!! I really got to like the characters!! The performance was great!! I did get really tired of “ 1,2,3 breath”!! It became very annoying!! But, overall….. it was worth the listen!!!!

Kyla is a fantastic storyteller!

Kyla is one of my favorite apocalyptic writers. She does such great research into the subject matter she writes about, and creates relatable, complex characters who take you on intense journeys. This is definitely one to add to your collection!

A little above average compared to......

Others in same genre. My personal opinion is the first 3 books were better than average and I was 100% into Dakota and her gang trying to survive but then the plot got a little far fetched. What she went through until the middle of the 4th book I could believe a teenage girl could endure and survive but then I think the writer made her into a teenage female Rambo. I started losing interest in what she did and started caring more about Julio and logan's fate and action they were more believable. I understand it's fiction but the author's style in the begin wrote the storyline where I could believe what Dakota did and went through. Don't get me wrong I still enjoyed the whole story but that feeling I had where I was hoping she could or would survive to where I knew she was going to save the the world. I am new to post-apocalypse novels this was the first one I listened to would probably be the last too cheesy for me. teenage girls and young women would probably get a kick out of it

Don't let bad reviews scare you away

When I first read the details of this book it sounded great!
then I read some of the reviews and decided against it, After listening to a couple of other books I decided to look at this one again, deciding that the premise sounded so good I would take a risk and decide for myself.

although it was not the best series I ever read or listened to it was far from the worst,
some of the plot was a bit far-fetched after all this is a book of fiction. by the end of each book and the series I was looking forward to the next installment

The plot and the narrator kept me interested until the very end. I am glad I took the chance and got this book

I loved it.

I don't understand why some people gave it really bad reviews. probably because they didn't focus on the destruction of the United States but there was a storyline with this group of people. I couldn't stop listening to it. I wish though they would have more than one reader. it would have made the book a million times better.
