Publisher's Summary

Katie Macauley gave up her lifelong dream of returning to Ireland in order to make a home for herself in Hope Springs, Wyoming, but her future has never been so uncertain.

Katie's heart still remains sharply divided between playful Tavish and steady Joseph, though she feels ill prepared to make a decision. Furthermore, the town is more divided than ever, with both the Irish and the Reds stealing property, burning buildings, and endangering lives.

In the midst of the growing unrest, temperatures drop quickly - too quickly - and Irish nightmares of famine and cold resurface as the little Wyoming town struggles to beat the harsh winter.

Katie makes one sacrifice after another to keep the peace and help see her loved ones through the difficult days ahead, but will her efforts be enough? Can the town make amends before their hatred consumes them all? And will Katie find the love she has been searching for as well as a home to call her own?

Reluctantly finished.

I enjoyed the story but felt it dragged on and on. I would have been happy with a condensed version. Even though the ending was predictable, I finished every word to the end and she'd a few tears.

Wonderful Finish!

After reading Part 1, I thought the first book needed some questions answered. This could have been a frustrating trilogy. But Sarah Eden wrapped it up in two very good books rather than one decent trilogy.

Story tugged at my heart but the finale fell short

Enjoyed the journey of the 2 books until the conclusion. It felt like the author was tired and just wanted the story to end - so tied the drama up into a neat package and said good night. Disappointing after the emotional investment. Cassandra Campbell performance never disappoints.

So good

Story was amazing and narrator was perfect. Swept me in from beginning to end . This is book 2. Longing for Home was equally good.

Joyful Heart

Words elude me to express how I feel about this story. Heartbreaking yet joyful as the lives of these amazing characters come to life. I do not want to leave them because they seem so real. Sarah has written a story of the heart and Cassandra has delivered the voice to bring them alive. Perfect

I enjoyed the book

I thought the story was great and inspiring and excellently performed but dragged on too long and was a little over dramatic.

Wonderful story

I loved listening to this new book by Sarah M. Eden. New to me, that is. As I’ve just discovered this author and I’m so happy to see that she has written many books.

I especially like the twist on the romance angle. If you read and enjoy this book as I did you will see what I mean.

The history of Irish settlers in this country & the Town locals was very heart wrenching.

Disappointing

The author completely undid any of the good writing and storytelling from the first book. It wasn’t historically as accurate as the first book either. If you liked the first book, just stop reading there and don’t read this one.

Great Story

I was so drawn into this book. I felt all the emotions. I loved the story and how you never knew what was going to happen.
I loved loved the narrator she did such an amazing job. especially with the Irish accent. It made me feel as if I was there with them.
