Great story

Super funny, witty, and sarcastic… just the way I like it. Another masterpiece by Sarah M Eden

cringeworthy misunderstandings overcome

I did enjoy this story. That being said, there were moments when Philip in his dandy guise was so hurtful and dense I cringed. I have an invisible disability, and I have definitely encountered people who say things that are hurtful that they regretted saying once they knew, and it's a crappy feeling. I wish people would just be less critical in general. I felt like Sorrel was more forgiving than I have been. I don't think I could ever connect romantically to someone who said such hurtful things. Even though Philip did not know he was picking at her disability, he was still picking at her for no reason. Yes, it fit his disguise persona, but it was still more awful than it needed to be. I also worry more about these two than Eden's other couples I have read so far, because they have communication issues that we didn't see resolved.

Difficult to follow for a while

Good story but there were so many characters that is was hard to follow until 3/4 of the way through.

This book was a great read. The characters both learned valuable lessons and the clean romance with heroism was great.

Such A Cute Story!

I absolutely loved Sorrel and Philip! Their romance was so fun. The side characters were well written and enjoyable too

Loved This From Start to Finish!

I absolutely loved this audio book! Having met Philip Jonquil in The Kiss of a Stranger, which is the book that comes as a prequel before Friends and Foes, it was wonderful to see him meet his match. Philip and Sorrel had a rough beginning, starting at odds with each other. Hurtful things were said and they ended up as enemies. Yet, they still maintained a banter back and forth with each other that hinted at the respect and attraction that was growing between the two of them.

I really enjoyed seeing these two actually grow to care for each other and the way that Philip treated Sorrel as a capable and strong woman, which she definitely was. It was also wonderful to catch glimpses behind the mask that Philip wore to aid in his undercover role as a dandy and to see the strong, caring, and capable man he was. I loved this story from start to finish.

Witty and entertaining

Witty and entertaining. Enjoyed the banter. I was glad I knew how it would end, however, because of reading other Jonquill family stories.

I just love this flirtatious teasing the two do throughout the story. Very good read!!

Very enjoyable

I love this book. I love that once they figure out their relationship there is no more will-they/won't-they. The drama comes from their circumstances and the spy world and not one person misunderstanding the other.

Fun Story ♥️❤️

I really enjoyed this sweet story. I enjoyed the spying, and certainly the romance without being the beset with sex scenes. The narration was paced beautifully and added to the charm of the story. My new favorite author never disappoints. I have read at least five of her books so far and will continue until I am exhausted them all, all the time looking forward to her new book coming out in June.
