Quite the thriller!

Ms. Eden, thank you ever so much for sharing your magnificent characters with us. Your story was so well written, I shall enjoy it time and time again. Ms. Ingram, your performance was grand. Ahhhh, what a journey most enjoyed, indeed!

I just went through this magnificent journey for the umpteenth time as it is so well written and performed. I absolutely loved the journey all the more! This shall remain as one of my favorite books of all time!

Very enjoyable

I love this book. I love that once they figure out their relationship there is no more will-they/won't-they. The drama comes from their circumstances and the spy world and not one person misunderstanding the other.

Exciting story - I love the jonquils

I really enjoyed the relationship of Phillip and Sorros. The Jonquil family is one of my favorite series. Listening to Luone Ingram narrate is always a pleasure. She does such an amazing job with the voices.

cringeworthy misunderstandings overcome

I did enjoy this story. That being said, there were moments when Philip in his dandy guise was so hurtful and dense I cringed. I have an invisible disability, and I have definitely encountered people who say things that are hurtful that they regretted saying once they knew, and it's a crappy feeling. I wish people would just be less critical in general. I felt like Sorrel was more forgiving than I have been. I don't think I could ever connect romantically to someone who said such hurtful things. Even though Philip did not know he was picking at her disability, he was still picking at her for no reason. Yes, it fit his disguise persona, but it was still more awful than it needed to be. I also worry more about these two than Eden's other couples I have read so far, because they have communication issues that we didn't see resolved.

Difficult to follow for a while

Good story but there were so many characters that is was hard to follow until 3/4 of the way through.

a little slow and corny at times but not bad. even though I don't like an imperfect heroine.

Like the story, not the narration

I have listened to many of these books from the author. I enjoy the story, but the narration is lacking. I expected a British accent for the narration as well as the voices of the characters. I couldn’t even finish the book. I’ll read it on my own.

I love this series. And Phillip and Sorrel crack me up. Although not at first. You’ve got to get it. You will absolutely love it!❤️❤️❤️
