An Intriguing and Hilarious Romantic Adventure

It's 2:15 a.m. and I just finished the intriguing and, at times, hilarious story of Moira and Nathan. This is my first book by Rebecca Connolly and, I assure you, it will not be my last. This was a clean read, a crazy adventure, and a delightful romance. I will be recommending this one to each of my daughters and a few of my granddaughters. I am also excited to see that apparently Ms Connolly has also written a story for each of Nathan's whacky group of friends.

I listened to at least half of the book in the audible version and it was also a 5-star performance.

Favorite of mine!

I LOVE Rebecca Connolly. By far one of my favorite authors. This story is clean, funny, and absolutely adorable. The only issue is that the narrator tends to speak a bit softly when reading male lines, as to make her voice deeper, but if you can easily overlook that then you'll enjoy this book. That is if you're a fan of clean, hilarious, regency era romance.

Can't wait for the others to be released on Audible!

Absolutely delightful!

If you could sum up An Arrangement of Sorts in three words, what would they be?

Beyond my expectations.

What did you like best about this story?

I was a bit skeptical about this book after reading one reader's review concerning the great amount of dialogue in AN ARRANGEMENT OF SORTS. However, we got to know the characters well through their honest, witty, sometimes reflective, sometimes bantering conversations.

What about Jessica Elisa Boyd’s performance did you like?

This is one book that I feel one should definitely listen to rather than read. To hear the English accent, the French in places, and the emotion of the character's conveyed by Boyd's performance totally enhanced the book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. In fact, as soon as I finished listening to the book the first time, I started listening to it over again, and when I finished it the second time, I started listening immediately to AN ARRANGEMENT OF SORTS the third time!

Any additional comments?

I'm hoping there will be other Audible choices by the same pair of Connolly and Boyd.

Clean romance; dull story

Hooray for a clean romance! Unfortunately this was rather a dull story. Think "Leap Year" but 150 years earlier and in England instead of Ireland. The smart banter between the leads just wasn't quite enough to carry the book. The possibility of adventure and complication was tantalizing close, but alas, the author didn't go there.

Narration was perfect for this book

A very enjoyable storyline but I truly feel the narration is what made this book be as good as it is. The only shortcoming was that reading this book was almost like watching a play. The majority of the story was the interaction of the main two characters and not much more. Nevertheless I enjoyed reading it. Very entertaining.

Adorable!!

What made the experience of listening to An Arrangement of Sorts the most enjoyable?

Fresh, insightful, and fun. Loved it. Want to see more from this author very soon!!

What other book might you compare An Arrangement of Sorts to and why?

Some of Eloisa James work

Have you listened to any of Jessica Elisa Boyd’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Sadly, this is the only one available at this time. I'll be watching for more!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No-- rather, I looked forward to savoring it!

Any additional comments?

It took me a few minutes to adjust to the narrator's style as it was so different from the smooth perfection of Rosalyn Landor, etc.... but once i did - it was absolutely delightful! I really enjoyed this book and the performance. Glad I tried it!

At times dramatic and unrealistic but still Fun

It was okay. Not the most realistic, but still fun light reading. Overly sweet and sappy sometimes. Lovely narration.
