[Contains explicit content] Storytelling aficionado and inquisitive host Eugene Mirman (Bob’s Burgers) sits down with special guests and hits “pause” to mine for funny details they might have left out of their true, entertaining, and personal stories. Hilarious tangents, amusing sidebars, and deep digressions abound in this peek at the stories behind the stories.
This season is full of wonderful episodes featuring funny stories by hilarious people. Hear Kumail Nanjiani’s story about his wedding, Weird Al’s eye surgery story, Lisa Lampanelli’s amputation story, Hasan Minhaj’s prom disaster story, Jim Gaffigan’s story about opening for the Pope, Moshe Kasher’s unusual sex-education story, John Mulaney’s classic rock story, Josh Gondelman’s pregnancy scare story, Chris Fairbanks’ kitty story, Kurt Braunohler’s story about a relationship break, Ken Reid’s story about finding a dead body, Matt Braunger’s DUI story, Mike Lawrence’s slam poetry story, and many more! What do all of those episodes have in common? Funny people, stories, and the insightful conversation resulting from Eugene Mirman’s questions.

when is the next season!
I loved it and finished it in one days time.
Some of the stories aren't as good as the majority of the others, but it's great and I like listening to Eugene
You can't mimic them. You be you.
Hey. If you are .... I dont know what to say. I don't like this "show" It is contrived. I mean, even Mike Berbiglio (sp) offered a rehearsed story. I could not keep from straining to make myself stay with Jeanene Garofalo's herky-jerky style off script and in a contrived situation. difficult to stay interested. For me. She is everything she said she was. I pay whenever she is attached to any film. That's good enough for me, right? We all want Eugene to be happy. To know himself. My opinion, he nee is ds to relax, retreat, write a lot, toss it all out, and know who he is. I'm ruined for these "shows" Put down your headsets Eugene and let Teri Gross and Maron enrich American citizens. You are distracting those that hunger for real human signs. Try to pass the word as well, Mr. Merman, and all the interviewees. Shut down. promote T gross and Marc. You can't mimic them, and you won't be able to do what they do. Seek and ye shall find your thing. That's what we need. what you need. To be you.
