Publisher's summary

Book 3 in the Eisenhorn series.

Inquisitor Eisenhorn returns, and this time he’s on the edge of treachery. How far can he go before he crosses the line and becomes what he is sworn to hunt?

Listen to It Because:

Eisenhorn seeks the truth behind a string of disappearances centred around a travelling carnival and a pictographer whose images are more than they seem. Inquisitor Eisenhorn has saved worlds and beaten bad guys galore, in short, he's a hero. But he's also done some dodgy things, and they're coming back to haunt him... His struggle to justify his actions (especially the daemon summoning) make this an incredibly compelling read and rounds off the trilogy perfectly.

The Story:

Hunted by his former allies as a radical and enemy of the Imperium, Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn must fight to prove that he remains loyal as he tracks down a dangerous heretic whom the Inquisition believes dead, the dread former Inquisitor Quixos. As he grows more desperate for victory, Eisenhorn uses ever darker means to achieve his goals, but how far can he go using the weapons of the enemy until he becomes that very enemy, and no different to the traitor he hunts?

Great action/adventure in the WH40K universe

I enjoyed the voice actor for all 3 books. I just wish the first syllable of each new chapter wasn't cut out.

Good book but...

I have really enjoyed all three books the only problem is I know this is coming to an end but he kills off a lot of characters you really like. still an epic story in the Warhammer universe.

The voice acting is absolutely fantastic and all three of these books

good narration

narrator does a great job just like you did in the last two novels. however I found this story a bit lack luster.

Wow, more than just a 40k book

Wow I don't know how to feel about this. This is leagues above other warhammer novels, the story has depth and Abnett shows no that no character is safe. It's only drawback is a classic Abnett issue, the main issue of story is tied up at the very end in about 15 pages.

Dramatic, Gripping, Sometimes Sad

I won't spoil it, but this one was a real pageturner! Or so it would be, had I bought this in Print. It is dramatic, fun, action packed yet very tragic! The only complaint I have is maybe a rushed conclusion. Tons of build up and its a hell of a ride, but the final encounter sort of just ends. Great book though! Highly reccomend!

wonderful story

the speech lines would sometimes get extremely quiet at the end of a sentence. The next sentence would start at the louder volume. Not reason enough to quit. The story is too good to quit.

great writing and read well

I really like everything I've heard from the author. The narrator is amazing as well. Seeing those two names lets me know my commute is going to be a lot better for a while.

Good, not great.

Not as good as the first two of the series, but still enjoyable. The middle dragged on for a while, otherwise I liked it

Another Fantastic Collaboration

Great voice-acting and enthralling story! An epic novel to finish out the Eisenhorn trilogy. On to the next novel of the grimdark.
