Publisher's summary

Gray Fowler, star NFL tight end, is being pursued by a stalker, so his team hires a protection agency to keep Gray under the watch of a bodyguard at all times. When Gray meets Dru Porter, an agent assigned to him, he's indignant. How can an attractive young female half his size possibly protect him?

But Dru's a former Marine, an expert markswoman, and a black belt. She's also ferociously determined to uncover the identity of Gray's stalker. And she's just as determined to avoid any kind of romantic attachment between herself and the rugged football player with the mysterious past. But the closer they get to finding the stalker, the closer they grow to each other.

As the danger rises, can Dru and Gray entrust their hearts - and their lives - to one another?

Becky NEVER Disappoints!

What an amazing end to the Porter family series! There is much to love about this book as it is equal parts action and romance. Very well balanced! I also enjoyed hearing more about Bo and Meg's story! So sad it has ended but what a satisfying end it was! 5 stars! ❤️

A good book

This book in the Porter family series has an element of mystery/suspense. Honestly speaking, the last half of the book was better than the first half. I really liked seeing how God used Dru to help Gray see he needed to change his life. You'll also get to be there for Meg's (she was from book 1) long awaited pregnancy!

The narrator did a good job.. Although some of the voices sounded very immature - especially Ty.

Good for sports fans

I haven’t read any of the other books in the series, but that didn’t cause any problems. I was a little confused when chapter 2 started with what seemed to be a different set of characters, but caught on pretty quick. Sports fans, especially football fans would probably like this.

Love Becky Wade books

Would you consider the audio edition of Her One and Only to be better than the print version?

No, I was not happy with the narrator at all.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

She did a terrible job with the male voices and accents.

Fun story, excellent series!

What a fun story! Dru was the feisty heroine I needed to read. And Gray, the handsome hero, was flirty and strong despite a not-so-easy past. It was also an excellent way to tie up the Porter Family series, bringing in cameos from each of our favorite characters. As Mrs. Porter would say, this story was my favorite ;)

Very Good --But

I found this on a list of Dove Awards and felt excited to listen. The humor is excellent, the banter fun, and the mystery is good. However Dru's and Gray's story often feels like a family saga. The mystery lacked support.

Witty dialog, interesting storyline.

Interesting main characters and supporting characters also had a storyline that helped keep the book interesting until the very end. The dialog between the characters was witty and fun.
