Publisher's Summary

Best-selling author Maddy Fitch, while researching material for a new novel, returns to her hometown of Harbour Falls to investigate an unsolved disappearance that has haunted the tiny Maine coastal town for the past four years. Although the case has gone cold, Maddy soon discovers that the prime suspect, Adam Ward, is hotter than ever.

The sexy, secretive Mr. Ward now makes his home on an isolated island near the coast, so Maddy takes up residence nearby to find out why this enigmatic man lives in such a secluded place. Is it because the missing person at the heart of the case, a young woman, was engaged to Adam at the time of her disappearance? Did the prime suspect perhaps move to escape the town's scrutiny, or is he hiding something much more sinister?

As Maddy plunges into the case, she and Adam are drawn together. Should she fight her growing attraction to a possibly dangerous man? The mystery deepens, and the list of suspects, people who all had reasons for wanting to see the missing young woman gone, grows. Maddy hopes that by solving the mystery, Adam will be proven innocent of any involvement, and they can then move forward with their relationship. But as she uncovers clues that begin to lead suspicion away from Adam, new secrets emerge that leave her questioning everything. Maddy continues to close in on the truth, threatening to blow the lid off the whole mystery. But what she doesn't realize is that she's actually caught up in someone's very dangerous game.

Lies, secrets, deceptions. In Harbour Falls, nothing is ever what it seems. This steamy novel immerses the listener in an intricate story line that will keep them glued till the very last second.

In the dark til the very end!

When a book can keep you guessing until the very end, it is obviously the best kind. SR Grey has started this series of Harbour Falls with such a story. Maddie Fitch is an author who has come home to investigate the disappearance of girl she knew, so she can write a true crime novel. Involving many people that she knows, she decides to go undercover with her investigation pretending to have writer's block. When she starts to dig though, things begin to get very muddy, and dangerous, leaching each person encountered it seems linked to the case.Along with that whodunnit feel, romance is blossoming too. Adam Ward, owner of Fade Island and classmate of Maddie is actively pursuing her, and their chemistry is off the charts. Her circle of friends is still around, and you will find there is no one that is not under suspicion as you listen. Just when you think the answer is clear, another turn in the case will change your mind. With so many twists and turns, and the surprise ending, you will definitely want to come back Harbour Falls and see what this town has in store next.

This is my first listen by Kelley Ernst, and I really enjoyed it. She has a very soothing voice, with many facets and is well paced. Her characters are easily distinguishable and made for a great listen.

Cold Case Mystery

I was pulled into this book from the very beginning. The author, S.R. Grey wove so many wonderful twists in this book, especially at the end. Just when I thought I had things figured out, something else happens to change that opinion. So many suspects in Chelsea's disappearance. Did she run away or was she killed? One certainty I have is that Maddie Finch had nothing to do with her disappearance. Loved the suspects list, suspense and imagery. I hate giving away spoilers in reviews, and with that said, the ending is awesome. This is a standalone listen and part of a series. I will definitely listen to the next book in this series, Willow Point when it comes out on audio.

Great Romantic Suspense!

This story is well written and the storyline is fast paced, suspenseful and intriguing. The descriptions of the Island and the houses are beautiful and we can easily imagine the scenes. There are several characters in this story. Adam is a rich man, strong and very protective with Madday. Maddy is very strong, sometimes stubborn and sometimes reckless to find the truth about the disappearance of Cheslea (Adam's ex-fiancée). There are so many suspects, it's practically impossible to discover what happened. The twists and turns are unpredictable. The author took me for this ride and keep me on the edge until the end. I love the ending and can't wait for the next book in the Series. The narrator's voice was great, and she did a really great job with all the voices. Her pacing is too slow, but she has already received this criticism and she will correct the speed of her narration for her next books.

Another Disappointing Book

The story was good. But the narration awful. I know they were trying to make the main male character sound sexy but the husky whisper voice was just silly. The best book can be ruined by the narration. This is in that catagory. Dissapointed.

Grey sends chills up your spine.

S.R. Grey reminds me why I fell in love with puzzles. Harbour Falls is a cryptogram waiting to be solved. The clues are a seduction. The red herrings are abundant and the heat is on fire. Maddy finds her heart on the line and maybe her health, when looks into solving an age old mystery. The prime suspect is the man that haunts her every waking moment. Should she trust her instincts or listen to her heart? Ernst narration stirs the hairs on your neck as Grey sends chills up your spine.

Time to fall for this audio

This listen is a first for me from S.R Grey the author. This listen will grab you right away . . It’s full of mystery, anticipation and a sleuth like Sherlock Holmes. .
This is a great story about a small town . The hero returns to the town and remembers about a cold murder . The person that is accused is a very well known person. And to top that off she always had feelings for him. She starts to dig. Grab it and find out did he do it . Who is the murderer of the cold case

Harbour Falls

Maddy decides she is going to solve, or at least get all the info she can on, the five year old mystery that has plagued her hometown. She needs the information for her next mystery novel, only this time she is writing a true crime instead of a made up story. As Maddy runs into old classmates and friends she soon realizes that these people have changed quite a bit and are maybe not so friendly any more. The more she digs into the mystery the more trouble she finds herself in. The mystery will take you on twists and turns and you never feel safe trusting anyone. I loved that the mystery is solved at the end but your given the start to a new one to draw you into the next book. The narration is very easy to listen to but seemed a bit slow (making the book kind of drag on) you may want to speed it up.

Loved it!

Would you listen to Harbour Falls again? Why?

I loved this book. Yes, this is one that I will listen to again and again.

What did you like best about this story?

I believe I liked the fact that I had no idea who the protagonist was until the end. No. Idea. Maybe I am not that good at figuring it out but Grey certainly did keep me guessing.

What does Kelley Ernst bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Kelley is a good narrator. I would get frustrated listening in the car as I'm 80% deaf in my right ear and, of course, my speakers are on the right side. Sometimes she spoke a bit quickly or too low but that is probably due to my problem more than to her narration.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I am never able to listen to a book in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

This is a good mystery. I look forward to the sequel.

Stupid heroine. Totally terrible book.

Infantile story. Mystery disguised by absolutely remorseful love story. Are we trying to be romantic? Lacking!!!
