Great listen!

This was a good little mystery. It is not as complex as I would like, but the characters are very likeable and the narrator is excellent.

Trick or Treat!

Certainly don't want to trick Sabrina & David, they will catch you! This 6th installment to the Daley Buzz series continues it quirky humor and murder mystery in the town of Treasure Cove. This small town does not get a break! This time, the story starts with the burning of a local business, followed by a murder. Are the two intertwined? Sabrina and David are out together again, gathering evidence and interrogating suspects. These two are relentless, and hope they catch their culprit! And what is Jake's next move? I love the interactions of all the characters, but I really enjoyed Sabrina and Jake in this story. Their banter is priceless and in the end, we know Sabrina is going to keep her town with it's home town feel. Potts continues to entertain me with her cozy series and I look forward to the next one.

Lisa Beacom is amazing. I turn the story on, and I know exactly which character is speaking. I love her ability to act through the story, her consistency from book to book and the fact that she can make me laugh even during dire circumstances. She is great!

Really wanted to like this...unfortunately did not

Was looking for a cozy Halloween mystery to listen to in the fall season. I picked this book based on a high average rating with over 50+ reviews. Unfortunately, this book fell flat on a number of aspects:

1. The story consists mostly of uninteresting dialog. The dialog consists of the main character and her boyfriend questioning several suspects. Every interview is the exact same and kind of cringey. The main character accuses each suspect of not being truthful and that they should talk-up if they have nothing to hide.

2. Other than a few references to candy, there isn't much inclusion of Fall/Halloween. It definitely did not enhance my fall/Halloween enthusiasm.

3. The story is very short and comes to an end very abruptly.

4. The narrator is okay, but kind of monotone. I did not feel a lot of emotion.

Additional note, I paid for this book, I came to notice after the fact that a lot of reviews were from listeners that received the book for free.

Hope these points help someone!

Quick easy listen!

Sabrina and David work another case in their funky little town. I love their techniques, but would be hard pressed not to slap some of these disrespectful suspects. Overall, a fun cozy with an Excellent Narrator adding an extra dimension to the story!

Good Story & Narration

Friend of Sabrina and David is killed with an arrow. Who in this small town is an expert at archery. Good characters and clues to figure out. Given ARC audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion The narration by Lisa Beacom is good.

Meredith Potts doesnt disappoint!

I love the way the characters are being built throughout this series. There's more going on than just the murder mystery. Also, we still have the sub theme of Jake Williamd.

The story is built up first as we see the victim in every scenes before she is murdered. When David and Sabrina questioned the witnesses I felt like snarling at them saying, don't you want to find the murderer? What is wrong with you people? The actual murder came as a surprise to me. I sometimes wish Meredith would drop some clues to help us try to figure it out, but on the other hand, we are being placed in Sabrina's shoes and only getting the info she is getting.

Lisa Beacom is an excellent narrator and makes the audio flow. You always know who is talking because of her voice.

Highly recommend this whole cozy mystery series.

Playing detective can be deadly.

Halloween Candy With a Side of Murder is another amazing cozy mysteries book. The storyline is sensational, quirky and intriguing with a side of murder. Lisa Beacom as narrator is definitely a force to be reckoned with as her soothing voices lead you through the gauntlet of our two favorite crime solvers. I highly recommend this series of you love mystery, fun, and laughs. I received this audio book at my request. I am leaving my honest review here of my own volition.
