Lighter Side Mysteries

I enjoyed these stories. The story line was interesting and the characters were interesting. The narrator was ok, I would recommend them if you want a mystery book with a bit of romance that is on the lighter side.

Love the history!

After enjoying so many mysteries with David and Sabrina, we finally get a look at their beginning, starting with a Love to Buzz About, After knowing Sabrina and David from the cozy mystery series I have listened to, I am so excited that I was able to see how it all began! Living through the tragedies that have happened at Treasure Cove, this brings it all full circle. Sabrina is a barista in her family coffee shop. David is a local police detective who has now enjoyed the coffee and is attracted to Sabrina. Just coming out of a relationship though Sabrina is hesitant. Will these two find their happily ever after? I fell in love with this couple from the start. Sabrina is a spunky woman, and she knows herself, except when it comes to David. David is much more in tune with where their relationship should go and his perseverance is appealing. It's a fun, romantic story, giving me the history of these two as well as a quick look at Treasure Cove. Little do these two know what is in store for them!!!

Then Chocolate Pudding With a Side of Murder,we finally find out David and Sabrina are married we find out she is pregnant. And what should happen, but another murder in Treasure Cove! As much as Sabrina wants to help David with the investigation, she knows it is not in her best interest to put her "bun in the oven" in danger. But in true Sabrina style, she is a sleuth who can work behind the scenes and still help her loving husband find the guilty one. I love the spunk in these stories, the continuous friendships, the puppy that always is around and how David and Sabrina have grown over the course of the series. It's plain fun, a little thinking to help solve the puzzle and have a couple of hours of entertainment. Stephanie Quinn keeps it fresh with her energetic narration.

Nice Mystery

This is the story of Sabrina and Davi and there are two book about them. I found that the plot did not really flow so did not hold you attention. This is a weird and confusing at time and the characters were ok. I didn't care for either of them for much of the book. She is eider whining or complaining, been possessive and want all the attention on her, she push and then want him back, she is really annoying. He do everything for her and she is not happy anyways. There were inexplicable scenes confounded by even odder time jumps. There was a "twist," but it didn't make any sense. I didn't understand (or care) what was happening or why. The whole story was unbelievable.I did manage to finish it. And the narration was ok went she did the female voice, not so good went she did the male voice. I was given ARC for my review by the author.

So good

A Love To Buzz About (Treasure Cove Sweet Romance #1)

Sabrina Daley has been burnt in the past. Does she dare open herself up to the possibility of a new love? Particularly since Detective David Carlson is often called away for his job.
Can Sabrina and David make their relationship work, or are they both destined to be apart?
The story is well written and kept my attention. Narrator Stephanie Quinn is new to me and I enjoyed her performance although I did feel that her male voice let her down a bit, but then that is just my opinion.

Chocolate Pudding With A Side of Murder (Daley Buzz Cozy Mysteries #11)

Sabrina Carlson is determined not to get involved a murder occurs as she has only just found out she is pregnant.
Will Sabrina be able to keep herself from getting involved or will her life and that of her baby be placed in danger?
I particularly like the characters of Sabrina and David. The story is entertaining and I was invested from start to finish.

Drivel

The book starts with a "where's Wally" mystery. If the writer had done some research she would have found out that Wally is the British equivalent to their Waldo, so the whole story starts on a farcical note. I got to chapter 10 and there is nothing but some silly girl drivelling on about how life without a man is just not worth living. How can she possibly be happy without a man but she doesn't want a new one because Wally broke her heart. For goodness sake women don't need men to have a life. Stop perpetuating this idea. And when she turns down the detective he just can't understand how she can possibly not want to go on a date with him. Just awful writing. It's ridiculous in this modern time. And I thought this was meant to be a mystery. The only mystery so far is how the writer managed to get this published. As for the narrator, please get a different voice for the male characters, they all sound the same and all sound like dullards.

Coffee and Dessert Cozy Set

A Love To Buzz About:
I really enjoyed this book! Such a sweet love story that has a little bit of drama to keep you hooked. I’m not sure how I feel about the narration. When female voices were used, it was fantastic, but with the men I felt it was off. Almost like talking through your nose. That being said it was still enjoyable and I will probably be listening to her again.

Chocolate Pudding with a Side of Murder:
A perfect ending to this series that leaves you feeling complete. I absolutely loved this whole series. Writing is perfect for sweet, cozy mysteries.
