Publisher's Summary

A missing woman. A mysterious stranger. A case with no leads. A terrible blast from the past. And cookies. Lots of cookies.

Some cases hit close to the bone.

For amateur sleuth Sabrina Carlson, this is one of them.

In Sabrina's mind, missing-persons investigations are always the hardest. Mostly because they remind her of losing her sister years before.

If fighting off flashbacks of her sister's death isn't bad enough, this current case is one of the most difficult of Sabrina's career.

After all, Claire Blakely didn't just disappear without a trace. She also didn't have any enemies.

In addition, as far as Sabrina can tell, there are no leads to work with.

As the days go by, Sabrina begins to worry if she'll ever be able to find Claire.

Will Sabrina find a way to solve this case?

Find out by buying Cookies with a Side of Danger right now!

If you love a cozy mystery that has a picturesque coastal setting, an intelligent female sleuth, and plenty of twists and turns, this is the book for you.

Entertaining.

I love Sabrina Carlson and her instincts. The reader uses varying voices and I get a kick when she does Dave's voice. It's like listening to someone trying to imitate a stern cop. Sabrina is responsible in her investigations and does not do stupid things, like other cozy mysteries. There a twist and a bunch of stupid suspects. The problem here is everyone of their suspects have no alibi and all of their suspects are not cooperative. Personally, if I was Dave, as soon as someone got belligerent or hostile, I would be dragging them down to the station for hours of intensive questioning. The one thing I do not like about Dave is his way of questioning a suspect. It makes a person defensive rather than helpful. Sabrina is lovable and personable. Her coffee shop is the center of town news.

What an pleasant surprise

I listened to a copy of this book. I found the narrator/reader very enjoyable.

The story is not a typical cozy. By that I mean, it does not put down the police or law enforcement – there is a healthy respect for them. The sleuth does not intentionally put herself in danger.

I found it refreshing, well-written and there were plenty of red herrings to keep you wondering who might have abducted Claire.

Sabrina was trying hard not to get on an emotional roller coaster when she learned from Dave of Claire’s abduction.

I was amazed at how grown up and non-fluff this mystery was. I will read many more from this author.

Clean Cozy escape read

I enjoyed having this book read to me, as an Audible version.
It is a quick book, and clean. This time it is a missing person case rather than murder.
It has a lot of repercussions, as the main character's sister had also been a missing person for a long time, with a sad ending.
The missing woman case really belongs to Sabrina's husband, a police detective, but in this family, sleuthing is a shard interest. Add to it, someone is keeping their eyes on Sabrina! Her gut instincts and intuitive feelings are working overtime. She has a five year old daughter to protect as well.
Imagine her raw nerves when her daughter says she wants to grow up to be a detective like daddy.

The narration was perfection. The description of characters very well written. And the story not as predictable as some short mysteries. It was a pleasant escape read.

Cookies with a Side of Danger

Sabrina is out with friends when she notices a strange man watching her. She goes to tell her husband and he has her to go to the sketch artist. He also puts a guard of police on her. Soon they hear of the kidnapping of a young woman. At this point the past hits Sabrina hard as she recalls how her older sister was taken and never found. Now there are two cases she's involved in...the strange man and the kidnapping. Stress has become her middle name.
Lili Dubuque is a fabulous narrator and her voice in all it's characterizations pull you into the story as you travel the path Sabrina follows.
Fantastic story and audio.

sweet, clean mystery

Sabrina Carlson is an amateur sleuth, who occasionally assists her police detective husband on cases. When a young woman disappears from the peaceful town of Treasure Cove, the case becomes personal...Sabrina's sister had been kidnapped and murdered when she was a teen. As Sabrina deals with life with a family, a possible stalker and working on this case, will the kidnapper begin to focus on her and her 5yo daughter?
Quick, clean mystery that will leave you saying 'I did not see that coming'.

Lovely

When this story begins, Jessica (Sabrina and David's daughter) it's five, and has decided that she wants to be a police officer, like her dad. This doesn't make Sabrina very happy :P

And... there is man following Sabrina around, which makes nobody happy. David decides to give custody to his wife. But, of course, that's not all. A young woman disappears, and the case brings a lot of bad memories of Sabrina's sister disappearance to the whole family.

And talking about family, there will be some surprises here :P

As always, a quick, clean, entertaining story =D

Cookies with a Side of Danger

Sabrina may be an amateur sleuth, but she has a knack for getting to the bottom of things. Even when she’s trying to stay out of investigations, things just seem to fall right into her lap.

Another enjoyable cozy mystery penned by Meredith Potts and narrated by Lili Dubuque.

Cookies!!

One of the best part of Meredith Potts's books is the baked goods, this one have cookies. This story is in between the Daley Buzz and Mystery of Treasure Cove series, letting us have a look at Sabrina while she is raising her daughter Jessica. And a little different, we don't have a murder to solve this time. We have Claire, missing just like Sabrina's older sister and this one hits very close to home. I love these stories. They are quick and easy to listen to, make me think and have characters I have come to love! We get to escape to Sabrina's vacation home and actually have some doubt of whether she will be able to solve this one! It's a fun quick listen, and Lili Dubuque brings it all to life wonderfully.

A sweet perfectly written cozy mystery

I loved this story so much, it’s the perfect story to listen to on a hot day. It sure made me long for a visit to the lakes. It was fun reading about an amateur sleuth who are also a mother, and follow the twists and turns of the mystery. I will add books from this author to my wishlist.
The narrator did an amazing job at bringing the story to life.

Another great read

Cookies with a Side of Danger (A Danger in Treasure Cove Cozy Mystery Book 1) was another great read by Meredith Potts. Sabrina is an amateur sleuth who is investigating a case that hits really close to home. There is a missing woman who reminds her of the time her sister went missing. Sabrina can't find any leads that will help find Claire and feels as though she may not find the person who took Claire. I can't wait to read more by Meredith Potts.
