Happy Hour Murder

Murder had once again come to town. David and his wife are questioning suspects and sifting through clues. if it wasn't enough to be in the middle of a murder, Sabrina is still being a bit obsessed with her daughter being a police officer. Suspects abound and it's hard to go around the twists of the case. But what or should she do it say anything about her daughter's boyfriend?
Another fantastic story in this series as we follow the Carlson family!!

Happy Hour Murder

The beginning of this book starts a bit different from the previous ones in this series and it has you dive right in from the first sentence. These two are definitely a team you don’t want to try to fool when committing murder, since they will figure it out at all costs. Another great listen in this series.

A family affair!

Just when we thought Treasure Cove was safe, another murder happens, and David and Sabrina are on the case. Every time I listen to this series, I find myself coming home to the small town, wanting to go to Daly Buzz and having coffee! Larry is dead this time, and the two are out interviewing plausible suspects. We get some interaction with Jessica, who is now a rookie on the police force as well as meet her private detective boyfriend. Through work, love and friend connections, we work through this murder that happened during Happy Hour and get to enjoy another case solved by the Carlsons! Stephanie Quinn continues her wonderful narration, adding her touch to the story.

Earns 5/5 Car Sales...Entertaining Fun!

Ok, the stereotype of car salesman may not be flattering...but murder? Happy Hour Murder is a delightful drams from Meredith Potts’s Treasure Cove Cozy Mystery series following a well-established cozy formula for which I am a fan: easy-to-read, not too complex with expressive language, a few giggles, and characters illustrated by realistic responses and dialogue. Larry Buchanan has been murdered and suspects with legitimate motives cloud the investigation: revenge for a lost promotion, ex-spouse, of course, and anger about a stolen girlfriend. First, I recommend this book, cozy fans will enjoy it, and for audiobook fans, I suggest checking out the audio version narrated by voice artist Stephanie Quinn. She goes beyond the traditional reading with changes in tone and style for age and gender to make it entertaining, and she makes a good effort at performing varied male voices, always a challenge for female narrators. With audiobooks it can be difficult to follow all the characters, but there is enough he said, she said, and references to make it obvious who’s talking. Easily “listened” to clocking in at 2-1/2 hours with short chapters, I didn’t have to invest a lot of my time. I found it the perfect distraction while waiting at DMV. I This book in any format has the boxes checked, but the audiobook gives me great entertainment while still be alert of my surroundings.

Extremely good

I found this audiobook to be an extremely good lesson. It has a great combination of murder, mystery and drama. The narrator does a wonderful job of bringing each character out.

Great Read

Happy Hour Murder was another great read by Meredith Potts. Sleuth Sabrina Carlson is usually never puzzled by a case. A car salesman is murdered in broad daylight and Sabrina wonders who would do that. The case takes many twists and turns that threaten to turn the case upside down. This was another great read by Meredith Potts. Stephanie Quinn did a great job of narrating the characters.

Another great case

This is another quick, entertaining case that will puzzle both, Sabrina and her husband, David. But that's not the worst, oh, no! The worst is... Jessica has a boyfriend! *laughs*

As always, this was a delightful cosy, and Stephanie Quinn did a great job with the narration

What I say:
This book was a fun, quick read, I love listening to books so I don't have to make time to sit and read, and while recovering from my son's wedding and cleaning house, this kept my mind busy!
