Publisher's Summary

A former model, a grumpy lawyer, and a single dad walk into an audition for a children's musical.... They’re all Miles Brodie. It’s only cute if you aren’t the director who’s being bribed to cast his daughter.

Dear Mr. Cross,

Re: our discussion

  1. True. Casting my daughter as the lead in your musical could be considered bribery if people find out I’m investing in it, but no one needs to know.
  2. I only want to hire you as Macy’s singing coach so her vocal skills will improve.
  3. Maybe if you’d spent less time surfing and more on your singing career, you wouldn’t be in this financial predicament.
  4. Re: your living situation—my neighbor has a guest house. If you cast Macy as Alice, I will pay for your first three months’ rent.

Do we have a deal?

Best regards,

Miles Brodie

Dear Mr. Brodie,

  1. It absolutely is bribery, but I absolutely need that money for my production. Thanks!
  2. It is very cute that you will do anything to get Macy this part, but I would only coach that sweet child as a favor to all mammals with functional hearing.
  3. If I spend less time surfing, will you spend less time jogging on my beach with your shirt off?
  4. You want to pay me to live next door so you don’t have to drive anywhere to frown at me?
  5. I have another condition for casting Macy as Alice—you have to perform the part of the Cheshire Cat.

Purrrrrrr,

Aria

This is a stand-alone multicast duet audiobook in the Brodie Brothers series. Narrated by Jason Clarke and Mackenzie Cartwright. Featuring Teddy Hamilton, Zachary Webber, Emma Wilder, Emily Woo Zeller, and Connor Crais.

Good vibes, good times!!!

Oh, Brodie brothers: there’s Owen, Dylan, & then, Miles!!! Oh, Miles you’re vocabulary: 50 % swearing, 50% sarcasm 🫠😅 #goodvibes

What can you say? You want a summer book to read/listen to, this is it!!! Who doesn't love a romance between a grumpy, witty, & snarky single dad, therapist named Miles & a sassy blondie surfer, alluring, "theater teacher for kids", named Aria?!!!! They collide once at the beach one summer and years later, they collide again but this time somewhat in a family gathering. This collision turned into a ride of rocky waves full of fun, hysterical laughs, emotional & charming encounters, and most importantly, they had those grand & breathtaking sexy moments. Not only that, Mile's daughter gave so much sparkle and great giggles along the way!! You just can't resist the beautiful relationship between a father and daughter duo!

I truly love Kayley Loring's rom-com stories and every new book she launches out, each book just gets better and better! You can't get disappointed on this series because the entire Brodie family is to die for. You see, the audio narration for each book in this series gave their 'A' game and bring each characters not only to life, but certainly, you as a listener, fall in love for each one of them; you want to be part of the gang or heck, sometimes, you want to be the main star. FOR THIS BOOK, YOU DO WANT TO GET THAT TOE RING. Just saying.

Overall, you will get to know Miles in a deeper level and that's what I love about Kayley's writing how she can quickly grab not only Aria's attention but the reader/listener's attention to see the grumpy, witty, & snarky guy have something more to him, a soulful, unguarded & fun-loving side. I truly recommend this audiobook if you are into opposites attract, heart-warming, and knee-slapping moments. You won’t regret it because it’s the best audiobook cast ever!!!

This series is amazing!

This is the third book in The Brodie Brothers series, a Romantic Comedy. I love this series! This is such a beautiful and sweet romance. The characters are amazing. Aria and Myles are so perfect together! I loved Myles's daughter Macy. Aria is a very beautiful character. I liked her determination. Myles is grumpy, very handsome, and a fantastic Dad. The storyline is funny, sexy, and heartwarming. Some scenes are hilarious! I liked the Brodie text chat. They are amazing! The cast of narrators is impressive. Jason Clarke and Mackenzie Cartwright did an excellent job with the narration, along with Teddy Hamilton, Zachary Webber, Emma Wilder, Connor Crais, and Emily Woo Zeller. This audiobook is very pleasant to listen to. I enjoyed it, and I HIGHLY recommend it. Kayley Loring never disappoints. If you like Romantic Comedy, this series is for you!

Hilarious, Heartfelt and Sizzling Romance!

I absolutely adored this hilarious, heartfelt, and sizzling romance! Miles Brodie is a former model, and now is an entertainment lawyer, and a swoony single dad. When he was feeling lonely, and at his lowest point after his divorce, he met a beautiful surfer on the beach. They hit it off from the start, and he was beginning to feel excited, until he realized she was the ex of his new client, causing him to walk away. Aria is a former child star, and now loves directing children's musical theater. She was hurt when Miles walked away, but now three years later, he is back in her life when his daughter is auditioning for her children's musical. They are both still wildly attracted to each other, and spending time together at rehearsals, only makes them want each other more. They can't deny their fiery attraction and start a clandestine passionate affair. Miles' daughter, Macy, is a serious, dramatic, little girl who dreams of being a musical star. Where she lacks in talent, she makes up for with zeal. Miles loves how alive Aria makes him feel, and how she helped Macy open up as well. But his main concern is protecting, and doting on his daughter. Aria cares for them both, but doesn't want to always come second place in his life. When the curtain closes for the final time, will it close on their hearts as well? I fell hard for Miles and Aria right from the start. They are total opposites, and their banter and sexual tension made their combustible chemistry palpable. I loved watching Macy grow from an anxious performer to a little girl who loved experiencing life. I also felt the tight embrace of Miles’ loving, supportive, quirky family, and their group texts were so hilarious. I really loved the clever adaptation and word play for Aria's musical, Alice in Wonderland, it was absolutely brilliant! Good Vibrations is an absolute delight and will make you laugh out loud, swoon, sigh, and cheer! Kayley Loring delivers wonderfully clever banter, heat, humor, and family as Miles learns to let go and fight for happiness. Ms. Loring crafted an entertaining story with a quirky and relatable cast of characters, hilarious banter, swoon-worthy moments, with just the right amount of heart and sizzling passion!
The multicast narration by Jason Clarke, and Mackenzie Cartwright, and featuring Teddy Hamilton, Zachary Webber, Emma Wilder, Connor Crais, and Emily Woo Zeller, is truly one to savor. Their comedic timing is impeccable, delivering Loring's signature witty banter flawlessly. They really put themselves out there, being just as unbridled in their deliveries, making this fun and sexy story pure perfection! They made all the different characters come to life so effortlessly, pulling me into their world. There is so much to love about this fun, witty, and sizzling romance and I absolutely loved every moment of it! This is easily one of my favorite books of the year!

One of Kayley Loring's best yet!

I am a huge fan of Kayley Loring so saying that this may be her best yet is really saying something. I am a sucker for a single-dad, grumpy/sunshine trope so this book was also right up my alley. Miles Brodie is divorced and sharing custody of his 8 year old daughter with his ex-wife. They have a relatively drama free relationship and the ex is getting remarried. I really appreciated how Kayley Loring addressed the delicate subject of divorce and the often hidden and misinterpreted or misunderstood residual feelings that can continue long after the relationship has dissolved. Miles seems to have processed the divorce and the accepted his new reality, but has he really?

Aria is a single young woman who is a former child tv star and is now writing, producing, and directing a musical for a children's theater. Enter Macy, Miles' adorable but somewhat uptight daughter, who is an aspiring musical theater actress only without the talent or experience to get there. After some tricky negotiating, bordering on bribery, Aria agrees to cast Macy as the lead in her show and begins a journey for all three of them that they never expected to take.

Kayley Loring touches on some incredibly sensitive issues like divorce, parenting, dating as a single parent, and what we are willing to do and to sacrifice for the sake of our children, and she handles them all so adeptly that you don't even realize the minefield that Miles is navigating through this entire book.

The much-loved characters from the previous two books with the Brodie brothers (Funny Business and Attachment Theory) are sprinkled throughout this book as well. We are again treated to the hilariously quirky yet somehow realistic group texts from the entire Brodie family, with Mama Brodie bringing the funny without even trying. These text exchanges are probably my favorite part of these books and always have me laughing so hard I'm on the verge of tears. And if you like some heat in your rom-coms, don't worry, Miles and Aria set the metaphorical pages on fire with their chemistry and no fade-to-black or closed doors in this one.

Now a brilliantly written book is one thing, but Kayley takes it giant leaps beyond with the casting of the audiobook. Jason Clarke and Makenzie Cartwright are absolutely phenomenal including singing (WOW!) and possibly the best child voices I have heard in a long time. Then add in the supporting cast of superstars Teddy Hamilton, Zachary Webber, Emma Wilder, Connor Crais and Emily Woo Zeller and I don't think there is a single thing you could do to improve on this audiobook. This cast is the best of the best and you should not start this book until you have time to finish in one sitting because you won't want to put it down for even a second. Bravo to Kayley Loring and this entire cast for bringing me 7 1/2 hours or pure joy.

Grumpy Miles with the wicked tongue!

Next to Pops Brodie, Miles Just might be my favorite Brodie brother. Miles is the grumpiest brother, single dad to a daughter who wants to be a singing star. Trouble is, Macy's a terrible singer. She's so determined to keep auditioning, and Miles doesn't have the heart to break hers by telling her the truth. So he continues to support her dreams.

If you're read the other books in this series, you'll recall Miles mentioning being attracted to someone. So this has been going on for a while, and we get the backstory in this book. Aria is a former Disney child star, turned producer of children's musical productions. Miles makes a deal with Aria to cast Macy in the lead of Alice in Wonderland. If you haven't figure it out, Aria is the woman Miles has been attracted to for a while. There's an obvious attraction, but Miles and Aria both work to be strictly professional. Until they don't. And this is when the fun really starts. Also, Miles has got quite the dirty tongue.

I love this series so much, and the text messages between the Brodie family should get their own story! Pops saving the family from Mama's drunken texts are some of my favorite. This is such a wonderful series, and the narrator casting has been just perfect.

Narration only adds to this story!

LOVE, LOVE LOVE this story! I laughed over and over! I wanted to read fast…but also slow so it wouldn't end. These characters are so lively and they each have huge character growth! I love them all! There are a ton of Miles-isms but my favorite is:
“I don’t trust sand…nobody should”
I have numerous highlights throughout the story..mostly Miles related! What a guy! I enjoyed being in his headspace.

The secondary characters are a hoot! Mostly they are his family. Their games, texts and just general conversations are delightfully funny. Included are a few scenes with the “That’s so Wizard” boys and they always bring laughs.

Overall this is one amazingly funny and lovely story from the first page all the way through the epilogues!

I loved this!!

I absolutely adored every minute of Miles and his grumpy ass. He's a big dummy sometimes, but he makes up for it in huge ways. I love Aria and Maci as well. My favorite part, aside from every one where Miles is swoony, is how Aria helps Maci instead of just telling her how great she sings. I laughed, I cried, I got mad Miles and well, when he was a good boy....yeah.
Mackenzie Cartwright and Jason Clarke were absolutely perfect in this book along with the rest of the full cast: Zachary Webber, Teddy Hamilton, Emily Woo Zeller, Connor Crais, Emma Wilder

I WANTED TO LIKE THIS BOOK

I really tried to get through it. I just could not get over the main female character Aria's voice! It was like someone was using the text to voice function on a computer or she was a setting for a voice you could use on your GPS.

I am sure that the book is a great story, but I just couldn't finish it!

Mikes Brodie is Mine

I have been looking forward to Miles Brodie's book since book one of the Brodie Brothers series. And now that I've read it, I am really sad. Not sad that I've read it...sad that Miles Brodie isn't mine!!!

Who knew that serious, grumpy, single-dad lawyers could be so freakin'... well...freaky??? Miles is a hard-a$$ in the legal streets and a beast in the sheets! Aria never knew what hit her. After a three-year slooooow burn, Miles' eight-year-old daughter, Macy, causes Mikes and Aria to be unexpectedly thrown together due to Macy's aspirations of starring in the local children's theater musical.

Miles will do anything to make his daughter happy and that means hiring Aria, who is also the musical's creator, to give her voice lessons. And arranging new living accommodations for Aria. And having Aria come over for...let's call it "dinner". Wait, that part most definitely was for Miles. As Aria described it "It’s a miracle I don’t start choking like Johnny Walker just blew his hot load down my esophagus..."

The sexy times in this book practically melted my Kindle! And I was snort-laughing so hard over Mama Brodie and her autocorrect and drunken misadventures that my cat was trying to figure out how to get someone to come check my sanity. Brodie family group texts and get-togethers are golden!

Given that I read this book hearing Miles speaking in Jason Clarke's voice, I was not at all disappointed to actually hear Jason narrate this book. Mackenzie Cartwright was stellar as Aria and Macy and the supporting cast was superb, as always.

A great trio of books

Loved these books of the Brodie Brothers. The ensemble cast was stellar and what great singing voices as well.
Yeah, the stories were simple and straightforward but the performances of the voice actors made this one of the best listening experiences I’ve had on Audible. X

An amazing full cast of narrators. Comedy Genius!

I absolutely love a full cast duet style audio, these are so much fun to listen to and in my opinion the only way to experience Kayley’s books. This is book 3 in the Brodie Brothers Series and Miles is the oldest and last of the brothers to get a book. He is the grumpiest Grump and Aria (also known by the end of the book as Areola) is the shiniest of Sunshines!

Miles is a trousers tucked into his socks on the beach kind of guy and Aria is a carefree surfer. They shouldn’t fit but they just do. Macy is Miles’s daughter and desperate to star in Aria’s musical theatre adaptation of Alice and Wonderland and she’s cast in the role of Alice with certain stipulations. Listen to it to find out the hilarity that ensues.

As usual no spoilers here but seriously, Kayley’s brain is a wild wild thing! Not sure how she comes up with these stories and more importantly the group text convos which are side splitting. Mamma Brodie, autocorrect is not her friend! I always love it when an author puts texts or emails into their books and Kayley always nails this. You cannot help but laugh at the exchanges that happen. And a rap! I cracked up so hard at it and all the narrators' kid voices were on point. It was just the perfect audio experience.

For grumpy meets sunshine, fart jokes (of course), cute kids, a rap, the so wise Evelyn Chan with her Chinese proverbs, Mama Brodie’s hilarious autocorrect texts and just pure comedy genius pick Good Vibrations and in my opinion you should definitely listen to it. The cast are amazing and there is a lot of singing too!

Narration.. my god narration

Not only is this one of the best stories I have listened to this year. I am already in love with the cast for a long time now. Kudos to the team. kudos to the author and the narrators. I was expecting this story to never end. It was a privilege to have owned a copy of this Audiobook and keep it in my library forever. Thank you so much.

Listening to this book is a must!

This is the final book in the Brodie Brothers series and is my favourite of the three. It has everything, a swoony romance, hilarious fart jokes and an engaging story line and singing!

The narrators are all top shelf. There is the duet narration with the fabulous Jason Clarke 😍and the magnificent Mackenzie Cartwright. Smaller parts played by Connor Crais, Emma Wilder, Emily Zoo Weller, Zachary Webber and Teddy Hamilton were fabulous. It was so entertaining to listen to.

I would recommend listening to all 3 books in this series as they are all great but this could be listened as a standalone too.

Brodie Boy Goodness continues…

This review isn’t going to give you a rundown on how the book plays out because unless you’re new gear, Kayley Loring has served up yet another fantabulous sexy love story involving the very swoon worthy Brodie Boys.

This is the third instalment of these hot mess brothers and frankly, you should read (listening is better!) to the first two, because, holy hotness on a fudgesicle, you are missing out.

Yet again Kayley’s clever word play and creation of such fun characters will have you totally enthralled. Loved everything about it, all the stars, & I want in on that group text!

Thank Kayley. What a ride!
