HIS HORSE ALSO DROPPED TO ONE KNEE

YOU CAN'T MARRY A MAN YOU JUST MET
I have four granddaughters all under the age of three. I am pretty sure that they would not sit still for this, but children over eight probably would. I have seen the movie and it is tons better. The reader was fairly lack luster and I would think a book read for kids, needs a little extra humph.
The basic story is a great one, with lessons learned without lectures. The characters feel real. The movie tugs at your heart strings and the snowman is funny. In the book the main characters tug at your heart strings, but the snowman is annoying. The snowman says and does the same things he does in the movie, but without the animation, he is like an extra annoyance, that does not seem to add to the story at all.

Great read

If you loved the movie you'll love this as well. It was a great listening without the music or songs. Great read for kids of all ages.

Awful narrator

She read it like a weather report, but with less enthusiasm. So boring, my kids fell asleep. Really lacklustre.

Better than the movie

We listened to this as a family. We all loved it! In fact, as is usually the case, it was better than the movie! The only Improvment would have been to add in a couple of the best songs from the movie.

Cute story, narrator needs more enthusiasm

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

The narrator did not display the emotion invoked by the text. More excitement and inflection would have made it better. She did have a pleasant voice to listen to, though.

Any additional comments?

My 3 and 5 year old girls enjoy this story, and request it often. I would like to listen to it more if the narrator had matched the feelings in the book. The dramatic dialogue
were read in the same voice and tempo as the slower paced scenes.

Eh

I did not like the movie and I hoped the book would be better. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The book was too long and the narrator was super unenthusiastic. I only liked two things about it.
1. I have the book on paperback so I could read along, but it still wasn't very interesting.
2. The book does not include the songs, which were fine at first, but eventually they were repeatedly played over and over, and it got super annoying. If the book did include the songs, I would rate this book a 1/5 since you cannot rate it a 0/5.
Overall, I would recommend this book to children under 8 years old and even they should get the paperback book and have someone read it to them. Otherwise, if you want to know the story, you should just watch the movie.

Sweet!

Well, it's Frozen- what can you say? Narrator did a fantastic job, and as always, loved the story.

Loved it! Kids too!
