Great for a Road Trip

I bought this for my daughters to listen to during a trip out-of-state to visit family. They usually sit in the backseat and watch movies, which is fine with me if it keeps the peace during the drive. Though, I have some guilt about letting them have a four hour television marathon and thought that listening to the novelization of one of their favorite Disney movies would be more intellectually stimulating. I wasn't disappointed. The book just follows the script almost word-for-word--no surprises. The only thing the kids complained about was the lack of a soundtrack. It wouldn't hurt Disney to insert a few of the movie's best songs where appropriate in the audiobook--I think it would make these more popular. Despite that small complaint, this was much better than the kids just watching the movie in the backseat--I feel like they accomplished something resembling intellectual-stimulation instead of just vegetating during the trip.

good rendition of the movie. it was actually pretty cool to listen to a book that follows a movie beat my beat.

A great book

A wonderful book that I found to be developmental and maturative for a young man coming of age such as myself. I found this book to be relatable and intelligent and I found great relation with the protagonist. I further highly recommend this book.

Audible Tangled

My daughter loves hearing this book being read and listens to it frequently, over and over and over again.

Stockholm syndrome

Be warned - my three year old is obsessed with this book and so I have listened to chunks of it so much every evening as her bedtime story that I can now recite it verbatim. I have gone through liking it, enjoying it, hating it with fiery passion of a thousand suns to thinking critically about the narrative structure and differences between the film and novelisation, role of the monarchy, nurture vs nature, capital punishment in children's media, to just accepting that Tangled after six months of continuous listening is the soundtrack of my daughter's toddlerhood.

I don't know any longer if it's good. I think it is. I've certainly gotten my money's worth for the sheer number of replays.
