Publisher's summary

In this first volume, Dr. Steven J. Lawson begins a projected five-volume series that traces the unbroken line of men who have taught the truths of God's sovereign grace throughout history. Volume one is devoted to the biblical writers as well as to the Lord Jesus Christ. As Dr. Lawson shows, seven key doctrines emerge repeatedly throughout the Bible, divine election, and divine reprobation as well as the doctrines of grace. Beginning with Genesis and continuing through Revelation, Dr. Lawson demonstrates God's sovereignty in the administration of his saving grace.

Extremely thorough

This book traces the doctrines of grace from Genesis to Revelation. It is not designed to be a consise summary of the doctrines.

great book that shows the Truth about Who God isñ

a biblically base book does highlights the Grace of God. The Word of God formed and shaped this book, third book does not try and shoehorn the Bible to fit a man made ideology.

Fantastic and thoroughly biblical!

Dr. Lawson is a wonderful theologian and has written this book in a way that appeals to the average layperson (like me). It's refreshing and biblical solid. The production of it was also done well. Thank you.

Comprehensive

This is a wonderful tool for those in the reformed faith or those wanting to learn more about the biblical evidence for the reformed faith and the doctrines of grace. This is a wonderful exegetical resource

Just like Martin Luther, Mr. Lawson, nailed it!!

The only thing that would have made this book any better is if, Mr Lawson would have narrated himself. I could hear him preaching at parts even with the other narrator. He doesn’t shy away from those verses so often used to “refute” the doctrines of Grace (2peter3:9, 1john2:2... and the rest) now I hope to get a hard copy for a reference just to have. Really can’t say enough, or any better than Mr. Sproul at the end.

Such deep theological truths

I loved how Lawson weaved the thread of God's grace from Genesis to Revelation. If I'm being honest though this book is a heavy hitter that my brain can only absorb so much of. I plan on buying this in paperback and revisiting several times at a slower pace. This book is a treasure trove that deserves to be consumed thoughtfully and methodically.

Doctrines of Grace

An outstanding work explaining the Doctrines of Grace as they are embedded in each book of the Bible and interconnected throughout the Bible as a whole.
I would rate it 4.5 if i.could only because of the overly heavy reliance upon Pastor John MacArthur in the final chapter covering the Book of Revelation. Nothing against John MacArthur I just don't agree with his end times exegesis.
