Publisher's Summary

An all-new stand-alone from New York Times best-selling author Julia Kent

It all started with the wrong Help Wanted ad. Of course it did.

I'm a professional fluffer. It's not what you think. I stage homes for a living. Real estate agents love me, and my work stands on its own merits.

Sigh. Get your mind out of the gutter. Go ahead. Laugh. I'll wait.

See? That's the problem. My career has used the term "fluffer" for decades. I didn't even know there was a more...lascivious definition of the term.

Until it was too late.

The ad for a "professional fluffer" on Craigslist seemed like divine intervention. My last unemployment check was in the bank. I was desperate. Rent was due. The ad said cash paid at the end of the day. The perfect job!

Staging homes means showing your best angle. The same principle applies in making a certain kind of movie. Turns out a "fluffer" doesn't arrange decorative pillows on a couch.

They arrange other soft, round-ish objects.

The job isn't hard. Er, I mean, it is - it's about being hard. Or, well...helping other people to be hard.

Oh, man....

And that's the other problem. A man. No, not one of the stars on the movie set. Will Lotham - my high school crush. The owner of the house where we're filming. Illegally. In a vacation rental.

By the time the cops show up, what I thought was just a great house staging gig turned into a nightmare involving pictures of me with an undressed star, Will rescuing me from an arrest, and a humiliating lesson in my own naivete.

My job turned out to be so much harder than I expected. But you know what's easier than I ever imagined?

Having all my dreams come true.

Fluffy is a full-length novel and is a stand-alone romantic comedy from New York Times best-selling author Julia Kent.

Cute and super funny

This story has sooooooo many LOL moments OMG! It is a really cute and quirky story, however I did not like how much Mallory was in her head. It was a little too much for me.. even in the last chapter she is still in her head about things that should not be at this point in the game… it was redundant and it got annoying. With that being said it was still super funny. Erin did a great job bringing Malory’s personality to life.

Loved it!

I love when I can really identify with the main character in a book. Mallory is the nerdy awkward girl who is just a magnet for disaster. Until... This book made me laugh, cringe, and sigh, then laugh some more. The narration was perfect.

Wonderfully hilarious story

I really did love the story itself, as I do most of Julia Kent’s books. And Erin did a fantastic job portraying Mallory. She reminded me of some of the brainiacs I was friends with in college. I found myself laughing out loud a lot, especially in the early parts of the book. But it also pulled at my heartstrings towards the end. It really was a fantastic story. Th donkey thing that bothered me was the introspective/internal dialogue that Mallory was having with herself got really long and arduous to listen to after a while. I kept thinking, “God, whoever she’s talking to must think she’s a space case because she takes so long to respond. I don’t think I’d have the patience to be friends with her.” That could have been toned down a bit and all the descriptions and alliterations could have been cut by half and I would have enjoyed it more. It’s one think when I’m reading it, because I read really fast and can skim past redundancy and fluff, but when you’re listening to it, I found it frustrating.

How many Stars IS the QUESTION

I been looking forward to checking this author, was not dissapointed it was a clense the pallet experience because this audiobook focused on the funny banter of friends and love interest, with hilarious interruptions from her parents.

while narration was great what lost the star for me was in some parts our heroine was a bit too naive, and there where a couple of instances where she gets pointed as a fat woman, from descriptions I can say she is not just HS mentality on her former school peers, this made it cheesy and over done for my likeness.

Fun and Charming!! Great Listen!

This was my first time reading Julia Kent and I really enjoyed it.
A light and fun read with tons of laughs!!
Erin Mallon did an amazing job narrating this story.
This is a second chance romance between the popular guy from high school and the brainy awkward girl.
Be prepared to laugh out loud at the original storyline and unique banter.
Definitely recommend this one!

Mischievously funny.

Fluffy is everything you would expect from a Julia Kent novel. Mischievously funny. Irresistibly charming and hard to let go of in the end. I laughed my way to tears. Mal is a tad goofy, but all heart.

Sweet if that’s what you’re looking for

I bought this book because the plot seemed good. Innocent young woman involved with her high school crush....... great plot! But I’m half way through and I still haven’t gotten a passionate kiss. I fell asleep on it and wished I had returned it. Very sweet but that’s not why I get audio books (if u know what I mean).
Erin (narrator) is always great but.... I hate she didn’t have a male actor to play off of. The heroine was too sweet and aggravating with her inner dialogue.

cute, laugh out loud

LOL from start to finish!
I was hoping this book would be steamier, considering the story and all of the dialogue throughout. However the actual steamy bedroom scenes are minimal.
Don't get me wrong though, this book was great and I enjoyed it. I just usually like a bit more steam.
Mallory is hilarious and for the situations she gets herself into, you would never guess how smart she really is. She does aggravate me a bit though with her trying to run away from him when he is obviously trying to start something. I just wanted to smack her.
Her mom cracked me up with her texts and I loved Perky. I can't wait to hear her story.
I would recommend it, but I'm also glad I got it on sale.

Best entertainment ever!

.... And they didn’t disappoint!
After the prequel Little miss perfect I just had to listen to this and my goodness it is hilarious! I loved all of it!
Julia Kent writes a blinder, it so funny and sweet, had me smiling and laughing out loud the whole way through. I love the key characters (and feel indignant on their behalf for the characters that weren’t lovable)
Erin Mallor narrates fantastically the emotions in her voice, her hilarity!
The combination of writer and narrator is spot on for this book! I will definitely be hunting out more from these two!

A definite recommendation from me ☺️
