Excellent short stories

The performances are something you can't really describe. The writing and performance continue to be great, as they were with Artemis. I found myself listening to chapters again it was so engrossing.

Twilight Zone commercials

For free in Audible Plus, these confections are great. Nine unique stories, each with a science-ish setting and a Twilight Zone twist of an ending. But at 5-12 minutes in length, these truly are short stories, almost too short, where you’ve barely decided the teaser is interesting and then, poof, it’s over.

A few adult themes, but I let my middle and high schoolers listen with no issues. We even got some good book group discussion out of it.

Fun short story collection

Very interesting collection of short stories with lots of unexpected twists.

You won't be disappointed.
I only wish there were more stories in the collection, or hope there is another collection in the future.

Great collection of short stories

The reviews were right. This collection of short stories is weird, shocking, scary, but most of all, different. Each standalone story leaves you a little speechless with its surprising ending. Some I liked more than others, but they’re all short enough that you can get through one on a short walk, or listen to the whole thing in one sitting.

Highly recommend

Each story although short, is interesting in it's own way with an unexpected twist at the end. I liked each one of them.

Listened twice

Seriously, I am skeptical if this book is good, so I try to play the sample. I didn’t pay much attention.. until I got in the middle of the first chapter and the story drags me from there. It was so good I have to listen to the 1st chapter twice. This is a well written book. Good thing I gave it a chance.

Extremely problematic

Andy Weir is an oppressive white male. Andy Weir makes a living written cool stories. But that is the problem. Language and specifically the English language are tools of the cis gendered phalogocentric western hegemony and used to subjugate and colonize BIPOC peoples. By being successful he essentially killing black babies.

Andy is NOT decrying the systemic oppression of BIPOCs by people who look like himself, therefore he is endorsing the systemic oppression of BIPOCs by people such as himself.

Andy is literally Aldolf Hitler. People like him and Dr Seuss need to be removed from Amazon.
