Publisher's Summary

God has blessed Hezekiah; his kingdom is flourishing. The people are prospering and the city of Jerusalem is safe from invaders. But the king worries that his beloved wife may be barren. After all his hard work in preserving the faith and protecting the faithful, the thought that one of his pagan-worshiping nephews will become ruler is upsetting. But he suffers greater anguish when he stumbles upon the secrets of his queen.

STRENGHT

WHAT AN EXCITING BOOK. IT GIVES US A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF THI S ERA IN JEWISH HISTORY AND ITS KING AND PROPHET. THE AUTHOR HAS DONE A LOT OF RESEARCH AND USED PERTINENT SCRIPTURE WHICH IS SO APPLICABLE TO THE STORY LINE. IT WAS A BOOK THAT WAS HARD TO PUT DOWN - EXCITING, SCRIPTURAL, AND INSPIRATIONAL FOR OUR DAY.

An exceptional book!

A well written chronicle of King Hezekiah. This gripping story had me committed to continue listening until the end. I followed along in Scripture to consider the accuracy and found it to be very close, only embellished with poetic license. The lessons brought out by the author were intense and gave me a greater understanding of the Love of God and the need for a stronger faith.

I also enjoyed immensely the talent shown by the narrator to bring this book to life. She is a gifted woman with amazing voice skills to portray each character and keep the reader engaged. I'm looking forward to the next in the series

Good Conclusion to the Trilogy on King Hezekiah

As I said in my reviews of Gods and Kings and Song of Redemption, this book is also a good read for guys as well as for the ladies. I have read the first 3 books in this series, and I have found all three to be well written and very engaging. You won't get bored by these books; that is for sure!

Beautiful Story

This is my second time around in this book. The first time I read it myself, this time I listened. This series of books are some of the best there is, in my opinion. The author did a wonderful job writing the book, and the narrator did a wonderful job reading it for a me. Thank you very much.

Voice quality

Male voices all sound angry and very similar. Women's voices also take on a timid voice in most cases

good story, but too much artificial drama

this is a good biblical based story, but there is too much manufactured and sometimes unrealistic drama
