It touched my heart

This book touched my heart. I saw Aaron as a person; a man who struggled. We all forget how Holy God is. Thinking about how he must have felt brought me to tears.

From Aaron's viewpoint

After having heard of the deliverance of the children of Israel from Moses' perspective this was a welcome angle giving me new eyes full focused on the older brother. A good read looking forward to the other 4 books in the series.

Excellently written and read aloud

Rivers has captured the essence of all of us as we are slaves to sin, as we are led out of Egypt only to grumble and forget what God continually does for us—but we must know God is faithful even when we are not. And though Aaron tried to be a good high priest, the real High Priest is Jesus Who holds out His hand to each of us.

Great book, but hate the narration

I was only able to make it through about half of this audiobook, not because the story was bad, but because I was so annoyed by the narration. I think Rivers does a great job of telling Aaron’s story to the best of her abilities, very well done. But the narrator reads the story like some over-dramatized joke, rather than in a casual/relatable manner. The “voice” he uses for Aaron is the most annoying - no one ever would actually talk like that to anyone. Unfortunately, I’m just too bothered by it to finish the audiobook, but maybe in the future will be able to pick up a hard copy and read it for myself.

This book opened up such a greater understanding.

This is a book I would recommend to anyone wanting greater understanding of the old testament. The Father's love and why we need Jesus sacrifice. we to are just like Moses Aaron and the Israelite slaves coming out of Egypt.

Brought the story of Aaron to life

This book helped me to really experience the Old Testament in a new way. And to realize how hard Aaron's life and the Israelites lives were. the narrator did a wonderful job. I will look for more books that he is the narrator for.
