Publisher's summary

From the New York Times best-selling author of Daughters of the Bride comes the charming tale about the problem with secrets, the power of love, and the unbreakable bond between sisters.

Kelly Murphy's life as a tulip farmer is pretty routine - up at dawn, off to work, lather, rinse, repeat. But everything changes one sun-washed summer with two dramatic homecomings: Griffith Burnett - Tulpen Crossing's prodigal son, who's set his sights on Kelly - and Olivia, her beautiful, wayward, and, as far as Kelly is concerned, unwelcome sister. Tempted by Griffith, annoyed by Olivia, Kelly is overwhelmed by the secrets that were so easy to keep when she was alone.

But Olivia's return isn't as triumphant as she pretends. Her job has no future, and ever since her dad sent her away from the bad boy she loved, she has felt cut off from her past. She's determined to reclaim her man and her place in the family - whether her sister likes it or not. For 10 years she and Kelly have been strangers. Olivia will get by without her approval now.

While Kelly and Olivia butt heads, their secrets tumble out in a big, hot mess, revealing some truths that will change everything they thought they knew. Can they forgive each other - and themselves - and redefine what it means to be sisters?

Told with Mallery's trademark heart and humor, the Tulip Sisters are in for the most colorful summer of their lives....

Loved it!

Susan Mallery just keeps getting better and better. She has a way of bringing you into her world and making you forget all about life for a little while. The narrator, Tanya Eby does a wonderful job bringing the characters to life. All in all, this was a very enjoyable listen.

Dysfunctional & So Funny!

Susan Mallery successfully mixes dysfunctional family drama with super funny dialogue to create a fun listen. Sisters Kelly and Olivia Murphy are abandoned by their mom which results in the girls having very different teen lives. Kelly stays in Tulpen Crossing, and after being sent away to boarding school, Olivia goes to Phoenix with their mom. When a grown Olivia moves back home with Kelly and their dad, the girls fight, laugh and try to figure out how to be sisters. When their mother follows Olivia back to Tulpen Crossing, the girls are determined to keep her out of their new relationship and away from their dad's new love.

Filled with old boyfriends, new loves, Mallery somehow entwines funny situations, difficult conversations and family drama into a great listen.

Not Great

Susan Mallery is one of my favourite authors but this book fell short. Good narration.

Enjoyable Listen

I enjoyed listening to this book but have a couple of minor issues: the mom was I redeemable and really had no place in the book except that she caused problems for otherwise likable characters and smooth relationships. The ending also seemed a bit abrupt. I would have preferred it to have been a bit more satisfying.

Good Book

I almost didn’t buy this book based on a few reviews, but I’m so glad I listened. It was a good listen and there was no out of place or over the top sex.

What a fun book!

Great book! Friendship, romance, love and even some contention. Thank you for not filling it with excess obscene language! Can’t wait for more books like this...
