"In true Susan Mallery fashion, strong female characters, friendship, and family are at the center of The Vineyard at Painted Moon. You're sure to laugh and cry along the journey and delight in the happy ending." (Robyn Carr, number one New York Times best-selling author of Virgin River)

The Vineyard at Painted Moon feels like a story about courage — about making hard choices so that you can live an authentic life.” (Katherine Center, New York Times best-selling author of What You Wish For)

Step into the vineyard with Susan Mallery’s most irresistible novel yet, as one woman searches for the perfect blend of love, family and wine.

Mackenzie Dienes seems to have it all — a beautiful home, close friends and a successful career as an elite winemaker with the family winery. There’s just one problem — it’s not her family, it’s her husband’s. In fact, everything in her life is tied to him — his mother is the closest thing to a mom that she’s ever had, their home is on the family compound, his sister is her best friend. So when she and her husband admit their marriage is over, her pain goes beyond heartbreak. She’s on the brink of losing everything. Her job, her home, her friends and, worst of all, her family.

Staying is an option. She can continue to work at the winery, be friends with her mother-in-law, hug her nieces and nephews — but as an employee, nothing more. Or she can surrender every piece of her heart in order to build a legacy of her own. If she can dare to let go of the life she thought she wanted, she might discover something even more beautiful waiting for her beneath a painted moon.

Don't miss The Summer Getaway by Susan Mallery where one woman discovers the beauty in chaos in a poignant and heartwarming story about the threads that hold family together.

Susan Mallery is one of my favorite authors! However this last book really let me down. I had a hard time getting into it in the beginning. I didnt feel a connection to the characters as quickly as I had in many of her other books. The towards the middle-end of the book I started to really like some of the characters, but then I felt like she got bored with her own story and wrapped it up really quick. I felt like she could have done a lot more with where the store line was headed, but she just wrapped up in “epilogue 3 years later”.
Hoping some new stories are in the works! :)

Not Susan Mallery’s best unfortunately

I didn’t want it to end! Seriously!! I loved the setting, the storyline and most importantly, the characters. I feel like I know them personally. Set in a vineyard in Walla Walla, WA, this story is fun, believable and certainly a page turner.

Loved it!

I love the class that Mackenzie showed when her inmature selfish husband, Barbara and rest of the family had. Their true colors came out. Bruno was just amazing.
Definitely recommend this book. I bought birth, the book and Audible. I have taken classes on wines and did tours of wineries but the description of wines on back of the book was amazing. Thank you_!

I knew immediately about breakups. A few too many times women lay on the floor when upset - ugh. And does everyone have to be stinkin’ rich? There is a real world out here.

A bit predictable

Susan Mallery's new book, The Vineyard at Painted Moon is amazing! It made me feel all the feels. The book is great in print and really awesome narrated by Tanya Eby on Audible! It's a fun read that's hard to put down. With all of the ups and downs of family life, running a family business, loss and love. Will Mackenzie listen to her heart or will get logic win? Pick up this fantastic read and see for yourself.

Excellent Read!

The story was good, even if somewhat predictable. The narration speed was too fast, and I had to drop it down a bit . I did enjoy the book.

Predictable

I l9ved the story and learning about the wine industry a bit. I didn't really care for the narration. It was a little robotic.

Great story. Well written.

Most of the characters are believable and fairly well fleshed out. There is a jarring moment when Laurie first spews her vitriol at McKenzie, because there's been not the slightest buildup to it and we're wondering why she's suddenly doing this. Barbara seems to be a cardboard caricature, capable of only growing more and more irrational, so that at some point her family should start discussing the need to get her mental faculties examined; in no way is this normal behavior. The fact that none of the family do anything in this regard makes them all harder to accept.

Good, entertaining read
