Publisher's summary

The heart-warming story of one little dog's big adventure, and the lives he changes along the way.

When their dog goes missing during a day trip to London, the Walker family are forced to accept that they may never see Henry again. But as the family search for their beloved pet, the reality of what has happened to Henry never even crosses their minds: Henry has been mistaken for one of the Queen's prized corgis.

Swept into Buckingham Palace, Henry is about to discover how the other half of the dog world lives. Henry's life with the Walkers is a long way from the world of china dog bowls of the corgi room.

But Henry isn't such an average dog either - and as he explores the palace, getting under the feet of royals and staff alike, this naughty dog will change the residents of Buckingham Palace's lives in ways they could never have imagined....

Heart-warming and irresistibly funny, Henry: The Queen's Corgi is the perfect listen for fans of A Street Cat Named Bob and A Pug Like Percy.

Corgi personality

Being a former corgi owner and an enthusiast of the breed, I found the book very entertaining to listen to especially the narrators intonations.

Would recommend for good easy and fun listening

What a fun listen

Henry was very lovable in this listen too. As a Corgi lover and caretaker Crawley expressed how a Pet Corgi “wishful thinking” would see the world. Our corgi Biscuit would love to play the part of one of the Queen’s corgi. Finished in a day

Sweet and cheery

Best comfort listen ever! I love dogs and British accents. And I love listening to something deliciously sweet like this after I’ve finished a scary true crime book.

A Sweet Christmas Charmer

Henry: The Queen's Corgi reminded me so much of Claude's Christmas Adventures that I had to pause the book long enough to look up the author.
Okay, so it's not written by the same person, but if you've read/listened to the latter, the former will seem a tad familiar.
There's a stressed-out family, social media for seeking out a lost dog, and an unutterably adorable canine.
And of course! Just a touch of romance that only a little lost dog longing for a sense of place can inspire in a couple of equally lost souls.
While Beth Chalmers does a great job with narration, it's David Thorpe as Henry who really steals the show, conveying Henry's many, many, MANY emotions with such dexterity that you're breathless with delight.
Definitely a sweet Christmas listen!
