Too short to get excited about!

Black Irish is a new vampire hunter series. The characters are okay, a bit on the familiar side. There is some background on Joe Gunn, the main character, but more would be helpful. The story is not bad although entirely too short. As I’ve mentioned before, I don’t have a huge appreciation for short stories. As short as the book is to begin with, chapter three is repeated; a waste of ten minutes. I’ll try book two since I received it in exchange for a review and hope that the originality and excitement improves. Three.point.five for the narrator.

Black Irish is my favorite vampire hunter. This book does not pull its punches! Gritty and down to earth. CS Anderson does vampires right!

Perfect voice for Black Irish

Thomas Stone is the perfect narrator for Black Irish. I have previously read the Black Irish books and imagined his voice to be exactly how Thomas sounded. From his deep no nonsense voice to his ability to keep me engaged in the story, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book and look forward to the rest of the series. This was well written and narrated.

FANTASTIC!!!!!

I'm used to reading my cousin's zombie books, so this was a far cry from the zombies. But, I really enjoyed it. I found myself cheering for Black Irish. Do I see a budding romance happening between those two?! Looking forward to Book 2

pretty good but way too short

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This was kind of Blade like but a better story line. The narration is pretty good, though there are a few spots where there is background noise. This is a very minor complaint, but something I did take note of. The biggest complaint I have is that this is far too short. Just as I was starting to feel fully invested in the character, it was over.

Black Irish

I am a longtime lover of Vampire fiction, so I'm always on the lookout for more! This was a short read, but very enjoyable. Joe Gun, known as Black Irish, is a former Renfield (vampire slave) who is now a member of the Order. His goal in life is to kill enough vampires to erase all of the scars he has due to his work for Vamps in the past.

There is a little (unrequited) love interest, a computer nerd, and plenty of action.

The narrator was perfect for the character of Joe Gun. The writing was very good, with just the right amount of sarcasm to keep it from being mundane. I look forward to continuing the saga of Black Irish!

I was given the chance to listen to this Audiobook by the author/publisher/narrator and chose to review it.
