started with book 2 but I love it

I started with book 2 but I really like this story. now I'm gonna go back to book 1 for the background.

Once again, narrator does not match

This is yet another example of Brenda Jackson’s African American characters being turned white by a poor choice of narrator.

Great book. Hate narration.

Since I’ve read the book before, I could not get into the narrators voice. Thanks but no thanks. Audible needs more people of color narrating the books being offered.

What made the experience of listening to A Little Dare the most enjoyable?

Madison's voice ... it really does make it kill it depending on the narrator's voice. Great pick for a narrator. Well done.

What other book might you compare A Little Dare to and why?

I've never read anything from Brenda before ... I keep meaning too ... she is one of my must read on my TBR list ...but my TBR list is huge. I hope to read more from Brenda soon enough.

What about Madison Vaughn’s performance did you like?

accent. the changing from character. at times silly. or humor.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

sorry no book is that easy to just sit and listen .. I try ...but I have to take breaks. life always gets in the way. sadly ... listening would be great ... I guess you could stop life but that never happens. lol. ( :

No. The story was very predictable. Once you have read the publisher’s summary, then you have read the entire book.

No.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Madison Vaughn?

No.

Was A Little Dare worth the listening time?

Very breathy...too many pauses... irritating.

Storyline is good but...

This book would be so much better with Sean Crisden, Ron Butler or Jakobi Diem narrating it. This is an African American family/characters with a narrator whose voice fails to give life to the characters. She sounds like a White southern bell and Dare doesn’t have that deep soulful voice that the above mentioned narrators could have brought to this character. Not sure If I can finish listening to this book because of the narration. Too bad because the storyline is a good one.

Not Bad

I love Brenda Jackson, this is the first time listening via audible. Story was a little boring but not bad.

Another good one

Although I listened to books 1,4, and 5 first. I still doing this to be a great book. Not as sensual by heart warming. The narrator is good, but not one of my favorites.

WHEN AJ TOLD DARE HE WAS HIS FATHER. THEN HE FOUND OUT THAT HIS FATHER REALLY LOVED HIM. I CRIED!!!!

CHASE, STONE, THORN, AND STORM. I REALLY WANT TO MEET ALL OF THEM. READING THESE BOOKS, I HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE THESE MEN.
