Publisher's Summary

For many of us, Excel is nothing more than a basic spreadsheet, something we may use on the odd occasion, but for some, it is part of our daily lives.

Microsoft Excel is more than just a spreadsheet; it is an essential tool for businesses. In fact, it would be fair to say that it is probably one of the most important tools that a business could have at its disposal.

Some of the best uses for Excel include extracting data into charts, using it to identify problems and trends, bringing all the data together from multiple files and other sources so it’s all in one easy-to-use place, and much more.

The basis of Excel lies in formulas and functions, used for storing data and retrieving it, for doing calculations, and for analyzing data, and is all in one simple grid format. It is these formulas and functions that provide the biggest headaches for inexperienced users and that is what my guide is all about. It will teach you how to use them and also look at some of the most commonly used ones.

Given that there are more than 400 functions alone and not much less in the way of formulas, I couldn’t possibly go over every single one of them. You don’t need to know them all; Excel has a built-in Function Wizard that helps you to get the best function for what you are doing, and built-in Formula Intellisense helps with formulas.

Without further ado, let’s immerse ourselves in the world of Excel formulas and functions.

Fantastic

This 10 bndl audiobook providing the student with the basic knowledge, tools and building blocks, and then, most importantly, a methodology or approach for continuing to develop your skills at your own pace as you become more ambitious in your coding. I have no hesitation in fully recommending this course.

Excellent

Good course overall. I learned a lot about VBA. Sometimes I felt as if Alan spent a lot of time going over a piece of code multiple times. It would be nice to have a little more information on on some of the library terms and why you would or wouldn't use them. For instance, sometimes you use Select and sometimes you don't, but I don't really know why. But overall, very useful

I first encountered Adam by doing audiobook courses here on Audible. I wish I had come across him many years earlier. I'm learning so much about VBA than I could have ever though

Very Helpful

Very Helpful. The coding details, particularly at the end, ran a little faster than I could absorb, but I think I can go back over the examples and get up to speed. Enjoyed it very much

Helpful guide

I have found these books to be very helpful as they deal with the important items that allow one to get up and running quickly with a minimum of side issue discussion.

Helped me a lot with what I needed

I have needed to get back up to speed on Excel, so I started reading this audio book. I have gotten a lot out of them. Too often at work I see folks being seemingly Excel masters and I want to improve.

Exactly what I needed

If you were like I was and knew nothing about writing an Excel you need this. I find I that if I am working on the skills being taught that each chapter is just right.

Very well written and narrated

This book written well and does not assume the reader knows anything about Excel. Examples are included albeit overly simplistic ones. If you know anything about Excel, you can read this and understand the basics in 10-15 minutes.

Exceptional!

This is an exceptional audio book that helps non-programmers quickly master Excel. I am a systems engineer that uses Excel Workbooks for advanced analysis tasks. Unfortunately, my analysis needs have surpassed the limitations of standard Excel formulas and I needed to learn how to create Excel. After looking at several different texts, I purchased this and I have been very pleased with the results.
