Easy to understand for beginner!

I have no idea what is data. But I remembered I took C++ programming in high school and I have a hard time understanding it. This is much easier to understand and easy to follow. What I like about this is that it also has a list of careers for anyone who loves studying data. It explains what each job is and the salary. I remind me of the occupational outlook handbook. But it is combined two in one, knowledge about data and a list of opportunities in this career.

Great for Beginners

I have heard of being a data professional or the term data analytics before but honestly had no clue. My son is considering going down this career path so I wanted a book to better understand and broaden my knowledge.

This book did exactly that. It was very straight forward, offered explanations in terms I could understand and I can honestly say I have a better understanding and since I can comprehend it more I can fully support and discuss this field of expertise with my son.

Data analytics essential for all organizations

This book will be extremely valuable to young people looking for careers using advanced math skills in data analysis for organizations large and small. The author covers introductory ideas in data literacy, and describes how these ideas play out in the real world.

The book begins by giving us just the broad outlines of data analytics, followed by a discussion of data science today. In subsequent chapters, the author defines data variables, and discusses data collection and data storage. The book then examines how organizations clean their data, and organize it, and what is meant by data mining and machine learning.

If people don’t know how to understand and make sense of data, the author indicates, entire organizations won’t survive. Each year potentially valuable information would slip through any business or organization's grasp without data experts to analyze data and redirect what matters. Business intelligence depends on getting the right information in front of the right people so as to permit sound decisions.

The author does a fine job of conveying the high-level value of analytics, giving us an overview of the careers and generous salary levels available in this rich field.
