Publisher's Summary

My cock has an appetite. A huge and very particular appetite: blond, curvy, and preferably not a fucking liar... (Although that's a story for another day.) As a high-profile lawyer, I don't have time to waste on relationships, so I fulfill my needs by anonymously chatting and sleeping with women I meet online. My rules are simple: one dinner. One night. No repeats. This is only casual sex. Nothing more. Nothing less. At least it was until Alyssa...

She was supposed to be a 27-year-old lawyer, a book hoarder, and completely unattractive. She was supposed to be someone I shared law advice with late at night, someone I could trust with details of my weekly escapades. But then she came into my firm for an interview--a college-intern interview--and everything fucking changed....

Steamy, sexy and dirty

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

yes, it's a good listen

Any additional comments?

It has been awhile I enjoyed a good read. This book is different in a sense that both the heroine and hero had strong personalities. They know what they want and go for it. I love the chemistry, the easy banters and steamy sex scene. Furthermore, I love Andrew's dirty mouth and I love Audrey strong will. This book is worth a read

FOR HER HE BROKE HIS OWN RULE 'NO REPEATS'

Well if you're like me an you love a brooding badass alpha Hero then you're going to love Andrew. Not only is he all that but he has a dirty mouth, a 'one dinner, one night and no repeats' policy and a heart as cold as ice..... but as the chapters slowly and deliciously unfold, his heart is slowly brought back to life by Aubrey. He tries everything he can not to feel, not to care and not to love again because of the scars left on his broken heart caused by events in his heartbreaking and tragic past.

It wasn't the snappy dialogue, the hot sex scenes or the great narration that pulled me in, no..... it was Andrew..... I wanted him to feel again, to find happiness and for his once happy heart to find peace, joy and to finally beat again after six years of being dead. But Aubrey, the only woman that stood a chance of doing it, was constantly being pushed out of his bed and shown the door.

Worth a credit? I devoured and savoured every word.... the cold and bitter words, the harsh words that were meant to push feelings away, the sexy dominant lovers words and the pleading heartfelt words of need and love that eventually changed everything. So YES another well-written, enjoyable, entertaining and creditworthy listen that, thankfully, has no cliffhanger endings.

Great Dark hero but the heroine was lacking for me

Any additional comments?

I actually enjoyed the book more then I thought I would... the narration was fabulous and that added to the enjoyment a lot! The beginning of the story reminded me a lot of Beautiful Bastard which was a big A+ for me... So I really got into it and was totally excited! However...:0( by the middle of the story I started to get a little annoyed with the heroine... I mean come on at the beginning she was strong gave it as good as she got it but by the middle she almost turned into a doormat! No! No! No! I started to really fear for the novel but luckily she did get her backbone in the end. Yet still the book lost some of it's momentum for me. Would I recommend it? Sure. I have never read anything by this author before and would not mind giving another one of her books a try.

I SERIOUSLY LOVE THIS BOOK!

I seriously loved this book. It was a lot like Tangled by Emma Chase but the difference for me is that Andrew wasn't a jerk just because he was a guy and could be, he was a victim of the past. I do love the male POV books since they are few and far between. I liked how honest Andrew was, he did lie by omission but he always told the truth about what he said & wanted (mostly lol). Aubrey knew from the beginning what he was like (because they were friends) but she also loved to push him past his comfort zones and knew he needed the push. The sexy scenes were SUPER HOT, if you like a dominate dirty mouth man you will love this! Also, there were a few tears too ;)

The narration was FABULOUS! I always go for Sebastian York but Erin Mallon is a very exciting discovery! I am now searching for other work by her! If you haven't listened to this audiobook I HIGHLY suggest you do!

I give the narration 10 stars!

Great book!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Andrew hands down. He had me laughing out loud and also crying my heart out. This book is one the best. I loved his sense of humor, bluntness and just plain raw, no nonsense personality.

What about Sebastian York and Erin Mallon ’s performance did you like?

They brought life to the characters. I felt like I knew Andrew and Aubrey through their delivery of the written word.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely! I couldn't put it down. Love the concept of having 3 books in one. The flash backs in time and then bounce to present day kept the book engaging.

It started well...

BUT, there is always a but haha. This is the first time I have ever written a review for a book, I felt compelled to write a review because I grew increasingly irritated as the book went on. Honestly the first few chapters were great, they really drew me in and I loved anticipating how it was going to unfold. However as soon as the characters met things completely changed. Alyssa seemed like a spunky, witty girl. The kind that could hold her own. Aubrey however is a whiny entitled woman-child. Every line sounds like she is going to start crying, and actually does, I couldn't keep track of how many times she cried in this book. Andrews alter ego Thoreau doesn't seem to change his personality much. No, where Andrews inconsistency lies is when he goes from being a complete asshole to.. stalker asshole? "I HATE YOU! so i'm going to follow you to your house and eat you out." uhh what?!
The next biggest irritation was the dialogue. The conversations were just so completely unrealistic. I am not asking for much here but can you please make it just slightly plausible? and can we all just take a second to laugh about a 'curvy' ballerina? hahaha

With all that said the narration wasn't bad and the sexy times were entertaining. If you can get this book on sale, go for it. Other then that I wouldn't say its worth a credit.

4 Reasonable Doubt Stars

Ahh I do love a good a r s e h o l e .. hehe

I can’t help it I like them in my fiction, and yes only in my fiction. I can tell the difference.

I liked the connection Andrew and Aubrey had right from the get go when they were both using different names.

I didn’t like the way she lets her parents talk to her or treat her. But because she stands up for herself in all other aspect I was ok with that. But not you know what I mean.

I knew something was up with Andrew and it takes a lot to know what that is. Now I am not saying it justifies him in anyway but it does make you understand him better.

The back and forth is something I love, I love the banter. There was drama but not drama for drama’s sake.

I usually don’t like Lawyerly type romance books but I gotta say this was pretty fabulous.

I loved the ending! I loved how Andrew was still the Andrew from the beginning he didn’t lose his cojones! :)

I LOVED THE NARRATION!!
SEBASTIAN YORK & ERIN MALLON!
I SWEAR HER MALE VOICE IS AS SMOOTH AND SMEXY AS HIS!

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Not imaginative

Typical storyline, completely expected and cliché. Rich handsome lawyer trying to play low key happens to cross paths with a law student who actually wants t be a ballerina. They find out about each other and end up together. Lame. Don't waste your time.

Not A Fan

I found it too predictable. It was a struggle to finish, and I didn't like the back & forth of the two narratives.

Mixed feelings about this story

I struggled with some elements of this, it was very well narrated so no critcism there, but the love story was based solely on a lack of trust and a lot of arguing that was somehow remedied with sexual harassment and predictable sex (I mean who restrains a woman by pinning her arms above her head - when a firm grip th the shoulders would suffice. This happened EVERY time - predictable....). The lead lady seemed to spend an awful lot of time either being whingy or breathless again predictable...
That said the bare bones of the story was very good, and a well paced story line.

Fantastic book

What made the experience of listening to Reasonable Doubt the most enjoyable?

The story is so well written and it flows at just the right pace. It was interesting to learn more and more about cocky Andrew as the series progresses. The author has done some good research and created an exciting story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Andrew was my favourite character because I could imagine this handsome sexy confident cocky man dressed in sharp suits. He had some of the best lines I've read in a book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but I had to listen to it in two sittings because I had other things to do.

Any additional comments?

I loved the narrators, Sebastian York is really good at narrating these cocky alpha males and Erin Mallon did a good job too.

Such a disappointment :-/

I'll start by saying the narrators have very pleasant voices. But that's where it ends.

The male one sounds like his mouth is constantly filled with saliva when he talks, which is annoying.
The storyline is nothing less than utterly dumb, not to mention lengthy and not very convincing. There can be great erotica without humiliating women and treating them like objects, and the reasoning behind the main character's motives are lank at best. The heroine goes then comes back, then decides to bravely leave her small town to go to New York- so one second she's on the bus there with tears in her eyes, and next sentence he's calling her and she says "open the door, I'm outside", and "begging for it". The number of times I rolled my eyes listening to it is ridiculous. The sex scenes are ok, nothing special. Why is it so hard to write female dignifying erotica?

Fabulous

I loved this, it had so much going for it, I had times of laughter, heartbreak, and some of the lustful scenes were fabulous. It is an honest, feel good book that I couldn't stop listening. Sebastian York's narration was wonderful as always, and Erin's captivating narrative really made you feel good.

THE MOTHER OF ALL AUDIBLES!!

Would you consider the audio edition of Reasonable Doubt to be better than the print version?

I have only heard the audio edition.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Reasonable Doubt?

God! Where to start! Everything, I think, every moment, every conversation between Aubrey and Andrew are off the charts hot and are fuelled with so much sexual tension the result is EXPLOSIVE! I couldn't say something without giving away some important part of the story, but all I can say is this book blew my mind, Once I started I couldn't stopped and did the whole 8+ hours in one sitting!

Have you listened to any of Sebastian York and Erin Mallon ’s other performances? How does this one compare?

This is the first I heard from both and I thought they were remarkable, Erin was brilliant with the voice transitions. Sebastian has ruined me for anyone else.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and I did, the story is compelling, it flows easily and you are constantly at the edge of your seat wanting to know what is happening. I absolutely 100% know the story is perfection but the narrators brought it to life.

Any additional comments?

I recommend this book so much to all lovers of romance/billionaires/angst and Alpha males. I am only upset it has taken me too long to uncover this wonderful Author. It certainly won't be the last I hear/read from her. THIS IS PURE CLASS.

Not just an erotica. great story line. dramatic

loved the intensity and how it wasn't all about the sex. wished the narrators didn't pretend to do the voice of the opposite sex. would have preferred atleast Aubrey and Andrew delivering their own lines. overall story line had me tearing up. so glad it all ended happily too. everyone loves happy endings. 😄

a struggle to finish

I have never given a book one star before but this one honestly earned it. Implausible and flat out ridiculous situations make the lead characters just finish looking like idiots. The story is disjointed and using two different voices for the male? Not confusing, just silly. Why when you had the incredible talent of Sebastian York!
I love my audible books but this author is on the crossed off list. I will be getting a refund on this one.
