Publisher's Summary

Claire Gracen's life is picture perfect. Her career as a marketing director is on the brink of being legendary, and her marriage to her high school sweetheart has never been stronger. No, wait. It has. It used to be amazing and fulfilling, but one day Claire realizes that she's been living a lie and her best friend and husband have committed the ultimate betrayal. Broken and depressed, Claire is in need of something new - new city, new job, new friends. When she happens to attract the interest of the sexiest man she's ever met, a man significantly younger than her, she immediately turns him down - only to later discover that this man is Jonathan Statham, self-made billionaire and CEO of Statham Industries. Her boss.

Jonathan Statham is unlike any man she's met before. He's used to getting whatever he wants - whenever he wants, and he isn't about to take no for an answer.

Great context of older woman, younger man

Give me a read about forty-somethings and I'm in, it's such a tangible, refreshing context for me. I felt totally engaged with MID LIFE LOVE because it also included a favourite setting of mine....office romance. This book is about a 40 year old divorcee who has lost herself in her heartache of the last 4 years. Claire is incredulous at the attentions of Jonathan Statham, her 28 year old boss and CEO of the company. She cannot understand his attraction to her and thwarts each of his approaches.

This book is rich with fabulous side characters in Claire's daughters, they made me laugh and brought such tangibility to the storyline. I never felt like I knew where the story was going and this was such fun to devour. The many twists and turns kept me hooked even though I felt the last 5% was rushed. All the characters were well developed and the writing just flowed. I need more from these two and I hope my desire is fulfilled

Thirty-Nine and Twenty-Seven Are Not That Far Apart.

Claire hated her job as Marketing Manger at a tech company. Surviving a divorce, losing your best friend, moving across the country and raising twin daughters was a life changer. When her boss won’t take no for an answer and changes the company policy on employee dating. And the fun begins. Sizzling. Great performance.

the male narrator is TERRIBLE and sounds

he is 60 years old. Good Lord. screen these, producers. Please, please, please. The female is obnoxious ...had to return it. I will read this one, I guess.

Another win

While I just became a fan of Whitney G and her writing still which I love. I have to say the book was great, but I am sorry to say that the male narrator didn't do it for me. Here is why: August James sounded very young even for the 27/28-year-old he was portraying in the story. Nevertheless, It was still a great story and I will still read the second part.

Good story

I enjoyed the story but it dragged on and on with just garbage. At some points I was getting board with the utterly stupid chic played by (CJ Bloom) the crap that came out of her mouth...grrr made me want to slap the shit out of her!!
Who acts like this????
The story was cute but could have been shortened...or at lease throw a whole a lot more hot steamy sex in there!!! 😉
Definitely to tame!!
Both narrators did good. 1st time I heard August James's voice. Nice..♡♡
