Publisher's Summary

We are told God will punish the wicked; that sinful men will reap what they sow. We are told to scourge our souls with prayer and pain to become clean once again.

Well, here I am. Wicked and sinful. Desperate to become clean - even though it feels so good to be dirty.

But even I never expected what came next. Even I never expected my punishment to come so soon.

Midnight Mass is a novella and a sequel to Priest. It’s intended for mature audiences only.

Yaaaaaassss Jesus!

First, Jacob Morgan is a God. The end!

Ha- just kidding! 😂

Second, Sierra Simone is a Goddess for giving the audience more Father Bell on audio.

Third Elena Wolfe?! Uhm aside from her alter ego are there really any other female narrators out there? Hmmm...

Now onto the book.

Father Bell was so self deprecating it was pathetic at times, but rightly so! People do things for the sake of others and the aftermath of guilt can lead to some serious self loathing that eventually trickles down to resentment toward the other person. I think it was important to call it out in this book because Poppy & Tyler's relationship was so sacreligious. With their beginning as taboo as it was, the follow up couldn't be more perfect. IMO- I would've liked Tyler to display harbored resentment towards his wife for causing him to stray from the cloth. I think it would explain why he drew into himself and closer to his studies without communicating with his wife. While that thought would be unwarranted, it's real life. Also- Poppy wasn't innocent either because she didn't communicate her needs until she was at her breaking point. While this book didn't have the same shock value as its predecessor, it was still good. And I absolutely LOVED the authors note at the end- and she was so right! This book was beautifully written and the actors narrating this book really bought the characters to life. I even shouted a tiny hallelujah when Tyler ministered to his wife. Lastly, I still think it's wrong to be all kinky in church. (even though it was hot as hell lol)

Too Short Sierra...too short😢

I could live in Tyler and Poppy’s world for hours and hours, days and days but sadly we just get a glimpse of life after Priest.

It is a wonderfully short realistic...well mostly...view of married life for Tyler and Poppy. Full of cameos of our favorite characters from Priest.

And Sierra Simone does not disappoint! While navigating the ups and downs of marriage, Tyler and Poppy still find plenty of opportunities for H O T sex.

Ahhh Jacob “f@$king” Morgan what can I say but brilliant. Love him! Elena Wolfe wraps up the story as Poppy and is wonderful as always and I enjoyed Poppy having her own voice.

If you enjoyed Priest it is definitely worth the read (even though I wanted more) and the ending was perfect for the brevity of the story.
