Wow! This book really delivered!

What made the experience of listening to Easing In the most enjoyable?

What I liked most about the book was that it didn't jump straight into the part about anal sex. The book says that anal sex requires relaxation and preparation and that it is not to be rushed and the pacing and strucuture of the book mirrored this. Part one talks about how to have successful sexual relationships and considers sexual exploration in general. I really got a sense of seeing the 'big picture' regarding sexuality.

What did you like best about this story?

Easing in was informative, detailed and frank. I enjoyed the scope of the book. It didn't pull punches, made no cheap shots and remained engaging throughout.

Have you listened to any of Jenifer Krist’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I found that the Jenifer Krist's reading was maybe a little fast. The pace was a bit tiring, but that's what the pause button is for and I'd rather that than a reading that was too slow.

I found the reading a little dry, but I soon realised that that was more about me and my expectations than the quality of the reading. Why should a book about sex purr at me? It's non-fiction, not an erotic romance. The reading was lively and clear and conveyed enthusiasm for and understanding of the subject.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I found some of the advice to be manipulative, as more than once it recommends telling your partner something that isn't true in order to get the desired response. Also, there were a few gender generalisations that I disagreed with, but I saw the point. Overall, however, I found the book actually inspiring and it was full of good, practical advice, references to studies and useful information.

Informative Guide To Experimentation and Anal Sex

Where does Easing In rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I haven't listened to many audio books. But I have listened to several and I really liked this one because the narrator had a clear but pleasant and soothing voice.

Who was your favorite character and why?

It was more of a guide so there were no characters. But I found it to be very informative in the subject matter it was representing.

What about Jenifer Krist’s performance did you like?

She was very clear and made listening a pleasure.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, it was. And I listened to the entire thing with my partner in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

Listening to this audio book helped me and my partner get a grasp on how to better approach the act of anal sex. Judith teaches three keys lubrication, relaxation and communication. Using these three key we were both able to enjoy a different type of sexual connection that was pleasurable to us both. She also touches on sexual experimentation which was bonus. The author is very informative and gives great guidelines. I found this auudio book to be very helpful and useful. Highly recommended!

Helpful Guide

Would you listen to Easing In again? Why?

Probably not. It has nothing to do with the quality of the book. The book was a great guide, but anal is just not something I am interested in nor something my husband has expressed interest in.

What other book might you compare Easing In to and why?

Sheet Music: Uncovering the Secrets to Sexual Intimacy in Marriage by Dr. Kevin Leman

My husband and I read this book as well after we were first married. It went into depth about the myths and taboos of sex and Christianity. He also said that anything goes as long as both parties are willing and not feeling forced.

Which character – as performed by Jenifer Krist – was your favorite?

This book did not have characters. It was informational. But Ms. Krist did an excellent job narrating and keeping our attention.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No. Again, this was just an informational book.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this book when I thought I wouldn't. It gave insights into an area I have never personally explored but have wondered about.
