The emotional and touching conclusion to the Baxter family series!

The Baxters make plans to come together for a summer lakeside reunion, a celebration like they haven’t had in years. But before the big day, the unthinkable happens. As the Baxter family rallies together, memories come to light in the grief-stricken hours of waiting and praying, memories that bring healing and hope during a time when otherwise darkness might have the final word.

In a season that changes all of them, the brilliance of family love overshadows even the valley of heartache as the Baxters draw closer to God and each other. Along the way, secrets are revealed and the truth about the family’s history is finally made known. Ultimately, in this portrait of family love, the Baxters cling to each other and to God’s promise of forever.

From number one NYT best seller Karen Kingsbury comes a story of faith and a forever kind of love that will stay with you long after the last page.

Death and recap of previous book in series

Would you listen to Coming Home again? Why?

No, it wasn't very pleasant havingt to lister to the highlights of the previous 5 books in the series and didn't like reading about death and how every one coped. Wasn't what I expected.

What was most disappointing about Karen Kingsbury’s story?

Recapping of 5 previous books in the series. 3/4 of the book was about the previous books and what happened in them.

What about Gabrielle de Cuir and Stefan Rudnicki ’s performance did you like?

They read very well and with feeling

Very nice experience!

If you could sum up Coming Home in three words, what would they be?

Importance of family!

What about Gabrielle de Cuir and Stefan Rudnicki ’s performance did you like?

they brought more emotion during the story, it is a nice experience to listen to a book. I think it might be nice to do it when driving alone, or walking. I enjoyed it!

Ends with New Beginnings

If you could sum up Coming Home in three words, what would they be?

Death Brings Life

What did you like best about this story?

The entire storyline touch me as I am a recipiant of a families loss which gave me a new lease on life. This book, I believe adiquitly touches on the feelings of a family who suffers great loss, but through their faith in God can continue to live, knowing that they have given new life and meaning to so many other people through organ donation. It also gives readers a very good perspective on how those of us who receive the organs from a family's loved one feel. There are no words to describe the thankfulness, joy & yet sorrow we as recipiants feel for the families whose loved ones had to die to give us new life. It reminds me everyday of the sacrifice that Christ made for us and Karen Kingsbury had brought her faith in God more alive and poiniannt in this book dealing with life, death and new life more than in any of her other books.

What about Gabrielle de Cuir and Stefan Rudnicki ’s performance did you like?

The expressions that both readers show in this book are amazing. They made me feel as if I were part of the scenes they were reading. I could feel the struggle the family was going through when choosing to donate the organs of Klorisa, yet know it was the right thing to do. I felt the joy as the family heard how the organs would help others and both readers just made the book come alive for me. They are both awsome readers.

Who was the most memorable character of Coming Home and why?

That is such a difficult question to answer because the majority of them were very special to me, but I would probably have to say either Ashley or Dane. These two showed amazing strength even in their pain, yet were always supporting those around them.

Any additional comments?

The only thing I could say is the Baxter family books can't end here, we need to hear of the children & grand children as they continue to grow. This review was written by my wife who also enjoyed the book.

Kingsbury never disappoints especially when she is telling the story of the Baxter family. It is an excellent addition to the other series.

Very Spiritual

Would you listen to Coming Home again? Why?

I really enjoyed the narration of this book incuding the changing voices.

What did you like best about this story?

This book sort of reviews some books I read of Kingsbury's in the past. That was a little slow but there is new action as well that's very intriguing. It was hard to stop listening. Her books are always full of hope and the idea of endless support by family and God.

Have you listened to any of Gabrielle de Cuir and Stefan Rudnicki ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No.

Baxter family jewel

I don't think anyone would enjoy this that has not read the previous books in this series. It was a very touching story and one that was deserving of the quality of these characters and an artful way to end the series. One of her better books and I have read all of her books.

The story took over and I really did not have an opinion either way on the narrator I was so caught up in the story.

Audible versions of Karen Kingsbury come to life so much more for me than the actual read.

If you are a tru KK fan you will not be disappointed.

Gut wrenching but beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness

What a wonderful reminder of God’s unfailing faithfulness! This story is a tough one to listen to and I was in tears for 90% of it.... the reality is there are many people in this world who suffer losses similar to those experienced in this story. Karen once again wrote an emotional story with a powerful punch— our God is bigger and better than any bad thing that happens here on this Earth. And He alone will see you through those times. Always.

Good story.

Lot of people to keep track of but once you did. It turned out to be a good but sad story of family faith.
