Intense

I listened to the book on audio this time, and it made the story even better. Boss Cash was as intense as ever, and Scott's narration was the cherry on top of an already great story.

Filled With Heat and Intrigue!

What can I say but that I absolutely loved this story. I’m a fan of the mafia romance and this one did it justice. I loved Boss Cold/Rod and Jimmy, they complimented eachother so well and that background story with the other mafia family and the intrigue behind Jimmy’s mother’s death I found very interesting as well. I will say a bit of the whole backstory with Jimmy’s dad gave me remnants of Barry Allen’s dad from The Flash so I don’t know if this author is a fan of that show or not but I wouldn’t be surprised if that helped inspire part of the dad’s backstory. There was a lot of heat and chemistry between Rod and Jimmy, and the narrator did a great job expressing that. Also I have to at I really loved the character or Maury. All around it was a great listen and I hope the audio versions for the other books come out soon.

This book was really good! I’m a sucker for the cliches and I love the storyline, not over complicated but keeps you on the edge of your seat! The narrator is honestly the cherry on top! Wonderful work.

Carousel's performace brings the best in the sexy Mr. Cold

The story is solidly written. Likeable cast of characters (not just the main couple) and right off the bat you know not everyone's motive is as crystal clear as they want Jimmy to think. Side characters are well enough developed and you can see where each person is comming from, even if you dont agree with them. Really warm sex scenes as well, with the right amount of emotion. Rich like a black forest cake.
But man, the icing on that cake is Carousel's performace. Jimmy and the supporting characters each have their distinguished flare. However, it is Cold that has me returning again and again. Carousel utters each of Cold's words in a smokey but also lyrical way that will lull you into puddle of mush (like Jimmy). Dark and sexy, but also a note of playfulness without downplaying how dangerous and domineering of a man Cold is.
I hope to hear more from this narrator in the future as well as the author.

This was fast paced and such a page turner.

The storyline was super compelling and I actually stayed up to finish this in a day!!

Now I absolutely love reading Cold and Jimmy! So I was so excited about listening to this amazing. I got the say I absolutely love Scott Carousel's narration. He brings so much life to this story that I instantly fell on love with it even more. He does so many amazing voices and I love it. I can't wait for more.

Absolutely Amazing

I have read Cold Hard Cash at least six times, I LOVE it. I love it even more with Scott Carousel reading it to me, his voice is what dreams are made of. I could never get into audiobooks before but this narrator was absolutely amazing, he truly brought the story to life.
Jimmy can’t catch a break, after losing his job he finds out the loan shark he owes was bought out by Boss Cold and he wants his money now. The only thing he has is himself and Cold willing makes a deal. What started off as just a deal blooms into something real.
Both men have not had an easy life and it’s wonderful watching the two of them come together…and navigate life’s challenges.
