Publisher's summary

Sometimes, dreams really do come true.

Everyone has that special someone - their first love. The memory of that person who brings butterflies to your stomach and a smile to your lips.

My first love was Owen Moore. He was my best friend's older brother - a broad, strapping alpha who never failed to make me feel safe. I spent most of my childhood at the Moore's house, their open warmth a welcome relief from the cold reception my own parents gave me. Owen never looked twice at me then.

Now, I'm back in Blackwater, teaching at the local school. Owen's in Blackwater, too, protecting and serving as part of the police force. I still love him - but this time, I'm not a kid anymore. It's time for me to show him just how grown up I really am.

Game. On.

Welcome to Blackwater, Montana: a small town with a big personality, where shifters and humans coexist. Claimed by My Protector is a dual point-of-view shifter mpreg audiobook with a guaranteed happy ending. The first in this series, this story can also be listened to as a stand-alone.

unexpected

I love this author but have never heard anything by this narrator. I have to admit I was apprehensive when I started the audio and almost gave up on it within a few minutes, but decided to keep going. Boy. was that the smart thing to do! This narrator was amazing and it was like I was being read the bed time story of all time. This is one I will listen to over and over and never get tired of hearing this narrators voice. I would highly recommend this audio. I was provided a free copy of this audio in return for an honest review.

Cute Story

i really enjoyed reading about Lucas and Owen. I wanted to hug Lucas. I’m so happy he found his HEA with Owen they’re a really sweet couple. I hope they make an appearance later in the series.

The narration is good I enjoyed his performance.

enjoyed it

• Did the story keep me engaged: found it a bit slow to get going, but once it did it kept me reasonably interested
• Were there any parts I found annoying: the beginning of the book felt as though we were constantly reminded of how protective Owen is of Lukas
• Did I feel an emotional connection to the characters: by the end I did, but it took a while to get there
• Would I listen to it again: wouldn't be my first choice, but I wouldn't not listen to it again

Story has a reasonable pace, interesting characters, some humor, drama and lots of emotion. I enjoyed watching Lucas and Owen grow and come together.

Nikola Muckajev is a new narrator to me, I enjoyed his narration of this story, his voice works well with the characters and it added to the overall audio experience. I did find it a little slow, but that could have been the device I was listening on, once I nudged the speed up to 1.25 I found it much better.

Good start to a series

I enjoyed this book but chose to read book .5 (Claiming my best friend) first as other reviewers suggested and I’m really glad I did. There’s world building in that book that I was glad I knew about when I started this book and in general having it as background added to my enjoyment of the story and characters. You certainly could just start with this book but I’m glad I followed the advice of other reviewers.

Friends to Lovers

This is a wonderful story that tugs on the heart strings. Lukas had a troubled childhood and spent a lot of time over at his best friend Austin's house. He also spent a lot of time crushing on Austin's brother Owen. After being reunited as adults it turns out Lukas and Owen are fated mates but it takes Owen awhile to come to terms with that fact.
Narrator Nikola Muckajev does a wonderful job.
I recommend this book and look forward to the next one.

Okay story, quick paced

Quick, easy read.
I do love alpha/omega books and even better if they're m/m, so this was great in those aspects. I wish the wolf and alpha/omega part was a little more prominent, but I do like that there are mates. Owen and Lukas were perfect together, they had good chemistry and Owen protecting Lukas was sweet and sexy. The romance scenes were well done and the pacing was fast. There could have been a bit more plot other than the pining to fill out the story.
Overall a good book and the narration on the audiobook was great.

I'm in love with my best friend's brother

Lucas grew up with uncaring parents so he spent most of his time at the Moore's house. All that time he was in love with my best friend's brother, Owen Moore. Now he's all grown up but still in love. Can Owen realize Lucas is no longer a child and return his love? I really enjoyed this book, great story telling and character development. Nikola Muckajev is an excellent choice as narrator for this book. The fact that he did not try creating totally different voices is a big plus for this audio book. I highly recommend it.

good book.

The book is good and well read. My only problem with it was a personal one. It took a while for the story to get going which isn't something I'm fond of. Other than that good book.
