keeps it right in line a sweet sweet story

this is a story of a man who was betrayed not just in his professional life but in his love life in walks a sexy man who is just as smart as him only more shy and more quiet and together they go on one sweet an d at times troubling adventure

Delightful!

Garrett is the CEO of a gaming development company. When he hires Carter Banks, to help him develop a dating app, he gets more than he bargained for. Garrett has been betrayed by someone he trusted. He tries to keep Carter at arms length, but is unable to do so. Carter has a major case of hero worship, where Garrett is concerned. He tries to keep a professional distance, but he can’t. A wonderful relationship begins to develop. Unfortunately fate intervened. Vaughn, the man who broke Garrett’s heart, tries to break them apart. Liam does a great job resolving the conflict and giving us a great HEA. Looking forward to the next installment. J. Bordeaux did a great job as the narrator. I enjoyed listening to him.

Fanboy to fated mate

From fanboy to star employee of his idol, to fated mate! Whew! It was like a fairytale come true. I felt bad for Garrett with his trust issues due to his ex. Von and his ally really did a number on Garrett AGAIN!! Glad both main characters took a leap of faith and held on tight to love. Great twists. I enjoyed the narrator's voice and expressions.

• Story is entertaining with low angst and the characters are likeable. Even though the plot was a little predictable, I was totally invested in the MC's outcome.
• J. Bordeaux is a new narrator to me, he did a good job, bought character and emotion to the story in all the right places and added to the overall audio experience.

I will happily look for more from this series. 😊

I Need A Boss Like Garrett... STAT!

Taking a Chance a beautiful story between Carter and Garrett. Carter is the studlette little omega Coder/Programmer working for the competition, but he sees a position open in the company owned by a alpha he has been crushing on since he was 15 years old. Garrett owns a gaming tech company and is the brain behind its success. Garrett is developing a new app and needs to hire a new developer. Garrett is trying to keep the app under wraps because his ex-boyfriend worked for his company and ripped him off by stealing a game in development and releasing it under a new company beating Garrett to the punch. Garrett wants noting more than to show everyone that him and his company are the best and works around the clock to do it.

Garrett is excited when his HR person hires Carter because of his experience and the fact that Garrett is so attracted to him. He is sure that with Carter's credentials he'll be able to figure out all the kinks with the new app and launch on time. He tells himself that being attracted to Carter is something to ignore because of being burned in the past by the Ex, Vaughn.

Carter is tickled to get the job working for his dream guy. He freaks out when he finds that the dream guy and he will be working together closely. After he settles down and gets used to it he is even more attracted to Garrett because they have so much in common both professionally and personally. They more they fight it the more they are pulled together.

The Ex is playing dirty and trying to drag Carter into it. Garrett and Carter kiss, they freak out and say it will never happen again even though they want nothing more than to climb each other. Carter goes into heat and that blows the "it will never happen again" thing right out the window. Will these two get a happy ever after or will the Ex screw it up for everyone?
