Publisher's Summary

This is a full-length, stand-alone Blackstone Affair spin-off.

Childhood crush... Lifetime love... Never letting go...

Elaina Morrison has loved Neil McManus her whole life. She doesn't remember a time when she didn't love him. Through heartbreaking tragedy and years of separation, her love holds true...until life stomps all over her heart, shattering her perfect dream, teaching her how hard it is to let go.

Real life doesn't have anything on romantic dreams, though, as these two have learned over and over again. It sucks big time, leaving painful scars in its wake. But Neil isn't giving up. He's a soldier who has endured years of longing and sacrifice to wait for his girl. He's fought his way through battles before, and this is one he can't afford to lose, on any level.

Neil has a plan. He's going in fighting to make Elaina see what he already knows - that she will forever be his Cherry Girl.

Raine you never disappoint!

What made the experience of listening to Cherry Girl the most enjoyable?

As always the narration was excellent!
Which always makes the audio more memorable for me thank you Raine!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Cherry Girl?

“Waiting and waiting forever. For you. Waiting for you to grow up. Waiting for you to see me as something more than just a friend of Ian’s. Waiting for the right time to tell you how I feel about you… I don’t want to wait anymore… Please don’t make me wait for you any longer.”

They come into bloom for a second time. They call it Autumn Cherry."

"Because I never stopped loving you and knew I never would I wanted you forever on my skin."

Which scene was your favorite?

Who do you want that you cannot have?” he whispered carefully, his eyes searing and dark, begging me to say. If I wasn’t so stubborn I might have spilled my guts right then and there, telling him every single detail of every nice thing he’d ever done for me growing up , and how I didn’t remember a time when I didn’t love him. <3 <3 <3

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The story and characters are so beautifully written you feel you are part of the family and they are all your friends too. Neil and Elaina's journey is not any easy one but one I enjoyed and I will listen to again and again.

Any additional comments?

How good is Raine Miller !!! The Blackstone Affair is one of my favourite series ever, I love the audio and have listened to it countless times and will add Cherry Girl to the series.

Romance

This was a new author and narrators for me. I did enjoy the story but found the story moved a little slow in some areas. I liked that the young love got a 2nd chance to become more

Another great book !

Story was another great one by Raine, but the narrators - I had a really hard time staying interested due to the very low volume if their voices. The other books in this series had fantastic narrators but on this one Camme Tyla had a nice voice but talk rather quickly and was a little too soft spoken for me and it seemed no matter high the volume - I was still struggling to hear her. James was good but overall volume was too low. Other than that - book was awesome !

That's not Neil...

Having loved the audiobooks of Ethan and Brynne, I couldn't wait to hear this one. But what I can't reconcile is that the Neil voiced ever briefly in The Blackstone books by the fabulous Shane East aka Steve West is rather brilliantly done and solidly working class whereas the Neil here in his own story sounds like a refined posh Londoner. I'm not saying the voice actor here is poor, but perhaps just poorly coached as to how Neil should sound.

A good read

Would you listen to Cherry Girl again? Why?

yes

Would you listen to another book narrated by Camme Tyla and James Green ?

James Greens voice is really only suited for documentaries.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book only problem I had with it was it was too short, yes I know it is only a novela but I started reading it then poof! it was finished I needed more lol but then again I needed more of Ethan Blackstone I would recommend it to all the Blackstone lovers and enjoy it while it lasts narrator Camme Tyla has a beautiful sweet voice but unfortunately James Green was just not right for Cherry girl imagine sex scenes that sounded like a documentary, not very appealing.

I was bored to death

OMG I don't want to be harsh on the author but this audio book was one of the few I regretted purchasing.

I was so bored I skipped at the beginning a few pages. I believe the worst part was the female narrator. There was no fluctuation to the voice, there was no emotion, just a flat bored voice reading a book.

I think because I got irritated listening to the female narrator I couldn't pay attention to the content of the book therefore I am unable to rate it truthfully correctly.

Nonetheless the book itself wasn't as thrilling as I had expected.
