Publisher's summary

When Annie grabbed at what looked like an opportunity to escape her tumultuous, abuse-filled home, she had never heard the term sex trafficking. Needing money, wanting to be loved, and desperately seeking control of her life, she stumbled into the ever-darkening world of the sex industry as a glamorous, high-class escort in Las Vegas. All that glittered was not gold. She embarked on a dangerous path toward self-destruction. She lost everything she envisioned her new life would bring her, even her own identity. Beatings, abandonment, and death threats became routine - she often wondered if dying would be the best way out.

In Fallen Annie tells her remarkable story of surviving 16 years in the sex industry, breaking free, finding healing, and then reaching back to help others find freedom as well. This riveting memoir opens a window into a sordid, shadowy world - and shows just how bright God's light can truly shine.

Hard to hear, but worth the listen.

I've been wanting to read Annie Lobert's autobiography, "Fallen: Out of the Sex Industry and Into the Arms of The Savior" ever since hearing about it. When I found out it was on Audible with Lobert reading it, I thought, even better.
Like a lot of people, I loved the Julia Robert's movie, Pretty Woman, but have always thought it hurt our society with it's fairy tail look at prostitution.
This is no Pretty Woman!
While Lobert is a beautiful woman, inside and out, to listen to the abuse (physical, mental and emotional) is excruciating, and just about the time you think she will break free, your hopes are dashed. I couldn't help but think while listening that this is not only true of prostitution, but of so many toxic relationships that many of us have endured. I believe this is a good read or listen for our sons and daughters to hear (and promote discussion with parents) as a teaching method to avoid such dangerous traps.
Listening to Annie tell her story I believe is even better than reading the book. You really get a feel for her heart and personality through the sound of her voice that I don't believe the pages alone can convey. I must commend the production of this project.
Overall, I highly recommend this book. It's a testimony of the Lord's power and just how much pain satan causes through the sex trafficking industry.

Life changing story

Annie's story is not only captivating, but life changing. it was hard to get through at times and I definitely had moments where I broke down. I relate to her on many levels but when she started talking about Jesus, I was sold. God is good and can redeem all. thank you Annie for your testimony, and your ministry that has saved many souls. God bless !

An interesting memior

I couldn’t continue past chapter 12. I found Annie on a YouTube video about the game in Las Vegas. I love her mission and how she helps SW get out of the game and grow an entirely new life. I was impressed by her and if I lived there I would love to work for her, I just think she’s amazing and I appreciate her life’s work. She spoke about her book which peaked my interest and I wanted to hear her whole story. The first 10 chapters are incredible and very well narrated. By chapter 11 or so she finds God and becomes a religious fanatic. I am a recovered drug addict that also used prostitution to fund my addiction. I have almost 5 years sober, and I also found God myself. But the way things go after chapter 11 is just annoying. I get it, you found God and that’s fabulous but I felt like I was now listening to the narration of the Bible. I would have been more inclined to continue listening if she went on and on about God in her life, how her life had changed no matter how mundane it might seem. I know that my sober life is not as entertaining as when I was smoking crack, shooting fent, and turning tricks. I go to work, exercise, have healthy relationships, and follow a strict moral code and worship God. Its boring. But I really didn’t want to listen to her rambling about the Bible. I wanted to hear about her organization and all the lives she touched and changed. That whole organization is so incredibly beautiful, powerful, and inspiring I wish she would have delved more into that than just going on and on and on and ONNN about Jesus. We get it.

Annie lobert , you're an amazing woman

I wanted to say thank you for sharing your story . Your such an amazing woman .. I have also been a huge Stryper fan since the 80s .. It's so amazing that you ended up with Oz Fox . They have been my favorite band for decades ;) .
I am so sorry for the way you were treated . I don't know how people can be so mean . Makes me ashamed I am a man . Your so strong and courageous. I don't know that I would have been wishing Julian anything other than a slow painful death .. I hope one day I can be as strong as you ..
Thank you again for sharing your story ,. I loved listening to you tell it

I finally read the book, and I was blown away!

I have been an occasional supporter of the ministry of hookers for Jesus for about a decade or so. Upon finally listening to this audiobook of her story, I was taken back. My heart was broken over everything she testified about. I'm grateful for her bravery. I know a number of sisters & brothers in Christ who have been through their own stories of abuse in various forms, and a few that prostituted themselves, both genders. I have story of sorts, myself.

It is wondrous how the grace of God can reach into the very bowels of Darkness, and Rescue Souls who are in desperate need for freedom. Glory be to God Almighty for what he has done in Annie's life. I applaud you my big sister. I pray that the Lord continues to guide you and Ozzy and your children on life's journey. May the name of Jesus be lifted High, as he gathers his sons and daughters from the enemy's clutches.

I pray that everyone that reads this review, listens to this book. it will touch you when the depth of your soul. more importantly, if you don't know the Savior Jesus Christ, May the spirit of God open you to the possibility of everlasting life through faith the son of God. shalom.
