Henry Morgan went to a baseball game hoping to catch a pop fly - not an untimely death from a flying lawnmower to the head.

It's the lawnmower he gets. But he doesn't stay dead. Instead, he wakes up to find that a century has passed, and he's being drafted to be the governing AI for humanity's first interstellar starship.

In the year 2117, humanity is confronted by a metastasizing alien threat that's already established itself in the asteroid belt.

It's Henry the starship's job to sail out to it, investigate it, and end it.

Or to die trying.

Box set contains:

1. I, Starship

2. Tin Can Combat

3. The Earth We Knew

4. Revolution Space

5. The Scattering Stars

So I've listened to Scott's other two ten book sets. And I thought they were phenomenal. This one starts much slower. Pretty close to the whole first book. Right now I'm in the second book and it's picking up for sure. I'm still enjoying this series so far. Even if it's a little less than the other two. Keep up the good work. I'll update my review after finishing if I have more to add

This was a fantastic listen as Scott out did himself again.
I read and listened to each book individually and when received the offer for the box set, I jumped on it. It is that good.

It's a great story about Sgt. Henry (lawnmower) Morgan and the rest of the interchange crew as they travel the galaxy without warp drives, hyperspace, or worm holes. They must rely on time... the hundreds of years to get from one location to the other. Sgt Morgan's job is to keep the ship and crew safe during those long empty years between the stars.

Mark Boyett does a fantastic job narrating the story and giving a unique voice to each character. Not an easy task to keep them all straight.

This box set now sits in the top of the listen again stories.

Great AI alternative

Scott hits it out of the park with his new Science Fiction series. He takes the concept of the main character becomes an AI, or RM in this series. The series has great world building, and the characters are well done and believable. In typical Scott fashion, he ties deeper issues into this book, such as, how people may treat or think of RMs, and discrimination they have to endure.

Mark Boyett nails the narration, as always. He’s a fantastic narrator, and he gives all the characters distinct voices, does accents well, and will put emotion into the voices.

Scott Bartlett is one of my favorite modern authors. His characters are rich, his settings are well developed, and his stories are compelling. This latest release is proof that he is not just a master of his craft, but is constantly improving upon his excellence.

Another great story from Bartlett
