Great characters

Just a question concerning the whole series, so far the advance race, but no AI? In the later series books there is always a problem with communication, when most science fiction stories have advanced communication devices, just wondering why that is not the case with this series and no mention of AI?

I was board through the whole book, no interesting characters the book was very flat and unenjoyable

Too much Filler!!

I like MR Forbes books, just not all the filler. I find myself skipping through the filler just to get to the plot. So unnecessary. It’s too expensive and frustrating to follow any of his series because of his overly descriptive writing style and cliffhangers. It feels a little greedy to me. Three books could be one.

Not just for adolescents or men..

Gonna binge read, so going for Book 2 right now..As a female retiree, whose family members fought in asymmetric wars, and who were aware of the heartache of friendly fire incidents, I loved watching this warfighter’s gradual emergence from a dark place to expand his horizons and upskill to fight dangerous enemies using unfamiliar weapons. It could have been heavy, but the effigy made it a book that is a great way to encourage self-guided learning!

Good start

I very good start to a new series. Sets up a lot of mystery to answer in the coming books.
