Max and the others did what most believed was impossible: they defeated the final tower floor. With that task complete, they face a new challenge.
Every member of the party: Max, Tanila, Cordellia, Fowl, Batrire, Sog & Rakonath; is now a god. But the new title doesn't come with the unlimited power they expected their world's creators held.
Their new task set before them: create a world and help it thrive, growing stronger as it expands. It sounds simple, until the truth is revealed. Danger awaits them after a brief period of protection. Other gods will seek to defeat them and take their power.
Can Max and Bob overcome this new struggle?
And don’t forget, their daughter's birth is soon.
Being a baker would have been far easier than what comes next.

1. His Hindi-like accent is thick, and he sounds like English is not his primary language. His emphasis sometimes falls on the wrong words, and which sounds are silent differs extremely from the previous narrator and from U.S. or even British accents.
2. Some voices (like the demon) sound like a woman emulating a gruff male voice. It's not that it's bad. It's just that it doesn't sound like a male voice let alone a gruff voice.
3. He doesn't have as large a range of voices, so often I can't figure out if the voice I'm hearing is Bob or somebody else.
4. Sometimes it feels like I'm listening to a High School stage play performance rather than a novel narration. He rarely feels like a character speaking and usually feels like an actor playing characters with varying degrees of success.
His dwarf voices aren't bad. I don't buy into the myth that dwarves should sound Scottish, so I don't mind that Mr. Voraces doesn't make dwarves sound Scottish. Likewise, he makes some voices sound Arabic accent, and that's also okay.
I like this series A LOT and have been listening to every book day and night in a row without break and often with little sleep. If they had to change narrators mid-series, doing it at the point where the story changes universes/worlds is the right time to do it. While I'm not entirely happy with the choice of new narrator, I will continue listening to the series. It's not awful.
Post Script after nearing end of book: It seems Mr. Voraces started getting a little better feel for the book over time, starting to make it his own. In the first hour I kept wondering if maybe the narration was by AI because I've heard AI speak with much more emotion than Mr. Voraces did. After that he went through several hours narrating as if this were a documentary and not a fantasy/scifi book. Eventually he settled into narrating as if this were a children's book. I very much dislike this interpretation, but I at least recognize that he's giving it his own voice. I'm no longer sure if I'll continue the series, though. I do not like this interpretation of the reading and what it does to the series.
Downgrade But Not Awful

The timeline continuity seemed off. They were treating their 30 year old daughter like a child. Max not really caring that he wouldn’t see Everett or Tom, or his sister, mom, dad, or niece from the last book felt off from his character since he’s all about his family. I was hoping in this one he would figure out how to burn them to his world or something but it just turned super sad. He didn’t seem to follow his true believe in the love for his family.
His daughter’s arc seemed partially fleshed out, but felt very rushed. She was like 80 and acted like a. Spoiled brat, and they treated her like a child. Max not figuring out how to go and attack other gods who are cruel seemed like a a massively missed possibility, and them owning kingdoms for like 80 years and then just realizing they may be able to make things to sell for DP seemed super dumb seeing how they all cleared the entire tower in like 2 years and yet it took them so long to think of this.

But sadly we have to get into the bad. And that is the narrator. If I could give the performance negative stars I would. I get that narrator changes happen and they are often viewed negatively. I always try to give them a fair chance but this was just terrible. There was no consistency between character voices and often it was hard to tell one from another. He obviously did no research into how the previous narrator voiced the characters and has no respect for the author or his work.
A great book made unlistenable by the Narrator.
