A new drinking game

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to book 4. I think they could do with less mention of phantom cracked armor (PCA) though. I seriously think that if you and a group of adults were listening to this, the mention of PCA would get someone pretty drunk.

Why did I wait so long to get this?

I have read on many forums that this series was great. That was a lie this series is excellent! The 4th book comes out in a few days after this post I’m so incredibly excited! Well Worth the credit!

Love the story narration gets better

Love the story and character developments. Narration in the first book feels like he’s always yelling in your ear but by the third book it gets better.

Conflicted

The narration of the story is excellent, but the narration of the dialogue and/or conversation between characters is not. It would have been better if he maintain the pitch used when narrating the story for the character interaction. The back and forth between "bad acting" and awesome narration made me conflicted. I wanted to quit but then continue to listen in hopes it got better over time. Overall the book I enjoy so far, but the dialogue between characters needs work.

great book and voice actor is made it come to life!

the story line did not just drag on. keep getting better and took a few turns I didn't expect but was very happy to have happen! can't wait for the rest of the books!

I should have listened sooner

I really enjoyed this book(s). Great value for the credit and great book for the character's, story, and universe. I'll be continuing this story as long as they are available.

The story and pace is good but the side story was ok I could do without

Straight forward system and good storytelling.

Concise and logical progression system paired with good storytelling. Was a very enjoyable listen. I especially appreciated the packaging of three books for one credit.

A good, straightforward adventure.

Always love getting a multi book option for one credit/price! With that said, while this is a book about Matt’s journey from nothing to something great, all other characters get their chance to shine along side him with their development, and the straightforward way the author often shows the need for these character to deal with many of their problems is a bit refreshing and helps reminds me as a reader that it doesn’t hurt to ask for help and acknowledge my weaknesses. (Aside from the fact I’ll never reach tier 15 and attain true immortality!!)

Well worth the credit.

I almost didn't get this because of all the negative reviews but I'm glad I did.
- the narrator is not the best, but far from the worst I have heard. not nearly as robotic as others have said. not a lot of distinct character voices though
- yes there is underage sex...around 3 sentences of it...hide your children, high school age kids got nakid
- is the MC overpowered? not really more like right place right time,but honestly who wants to read a lit RPG about a crappy guy always sucking.
- there are plenty of side characters that interact with the 3 MS and the development of both the story and characters is pretty good
- Aster is freekin adorable

if you are on the fence is would recommend you get this book. i am on my third relisten to it on preparation of book 6 and still enjoy it.
