Fantastic start to a new series! Thanks Actus...

Fantastic! Actus pulls out another great litRPG and Peter Berkrot is perfect bringing it to life with his great narration! And I can't wait for the next book, absodamnlutely can't wait! This book allows the Hero of Man and the Demon Queen to actually take a look at themselves in a whole new light, and of each other. To stop being bitter enemies on the battlefield ready to kill each other. But with their new class' in place it allows them to be just an Innkeeper and a Smithy, something that previously had only been a dream, a Smithy and a possible client.?. And maybe, just maybe even a friend!?! So yeah grab the book to find out if the Smithy, an Innkeeper, a Warden, a Warrior and a Healer can join forces to form their own guild!

Here's a couple of quotes that amused me:

“I remember that there were some pretty big lizard things, though.” “Lizards? Sounds like those could be useful.” “Did you miss the big part?” “Big means there are more spots to stab,”

Solid framework

The villains are good the story has a good tempo and the love interest is developing add add proper pace great piece of work love to see more

An Excellent Start

No glaring holes. No unbearable characters. Excellent narration. Most importantly, the book didn't end in the middle of a plot point. It's like a mix between "Dark Lord of the Farmstead" and Battlemage Farmer," but the MC isn't overpowered. Also, not farm related.

Great storytelling

very well written and looking forward to the next book. I rank this to my top 5 list out of the 100 plus in my library.

This is what I needed.

A crafter with combat prowess, but the story is even deeper than the concept? Definitely already bought book 2…

good narrator + fun story

this is definitely one of the best litrpg type audiobooks I've listened to, I have to say it was my favorite! the narrator made it so I could listen to it without breaks and ended up finishing in just 2 ish days.

story is great too, fairly generic world but with detail and easy to follow (that's a bonus in my mind, exactly what I was looking for).

overall, I will listen to the rest of this series and hope it stays consistent.

Great story with a few issues

Honestly, the second half of this book kinda got boring. I’m not gonna be a spoiler but when the big emotional thing happened, it just kind of petered out and that was the opportunity to gear up. The dungeon parts are just boring trials trials trials, tribulations, tribulations at the end more stuff and skills. It’s also a good way to add two hours of nothing. Outside of the dungeon the story is good, but again the author has fights they’re 25 minutes long. I’m not a literary critic. I just know I’m bored and I’m not with all the other books so it’s just something he’s not capturing This is his standard MO the author has great stories, even the characters and the MC and surrounding events it’s all good. But as soon as the author deviates from the story to go to get stronger in the dungeon my shoulders fall just a little bit because I know the story has just taken a two hour detour it’s so unnecessary. I honestly would rather see, and they went to the dungeon and came back stronger.

Amazing story

From the characters and setting to the progression of the book everything was perfect. It felt fast paced enough where I didn’t feel like any chapters felt like a drag to go through but also was slow enough to pick up on the motives behind the characters and how they came up with plans. If I could rate it higher I would.

Great build up

Loved it vary entertaining just got the second part hope to see a big series from this loved the my best friend is an eldrich horror

Some of the best character development I’ve ever seen. Intriguing story. Compelling characters. Great read.
