An action-packed LitRPG Apocalypse perfect for fans of The Primal Hunter, Road to Mastery, and The Ten Realms.

In a world of countless enemies, Freddy's unique power will help him thrive.

Freddy Stern, a twenty-one-year-old cashier, has lived a plain, albeit harsh life. Having been orphaned—twice—he's spent the last ten years working and staying out of trouble. His only aspiration is to save enough money to become an archhuman.

His dream gets the jump on him when he barely survives a near-death encounter and finds himself in possession of 1% Lifesteal, a bizarre talent with numerous contradictions and just as many uses.

With every dead enemy, he becomes a bit stronger, a little wiser, and a lot more ruthless. And no matter how much damage he takes, he can always put himself back together. Physically, at least.

But on his path to power, after having to look at the rotting guts of archhuman society again and again, can his talent keep his mind and soul as pristine as his body?

Or will that part of him simply remain broken...

Experience the start of this action-packed LitRPG Adventure from Robert Blaise set two hundred years after a reality-altering apocalypse. Featuring a weak-to-strong Brawler MC who never backs down, a unique power system, apocalyptic elements and more!

Author did a fantastic job addressing some series mental and social health issues. One conversation between the MC and someone else in a kitchen had me in tears. Fantastic story overall, interesting interface and world. I believe this could be a fantastic series and do wonderfully. But….

Possible Spoilers*******************

My only problem is if the tone doesn’t shift a bit I’ll drop the series. MCs losing constantly can establish some development. But at some point I’m just reading about some guy who literally doesn’t catch a break and loses constantly even when winning. And that isn’t fun over multiple books.

Absolutely loved the book…but

Decent beginning, but slows down in the middle. The story really takes off the last third, above average in the genre, with quality and has some real struggle.

A slow start, but great ending

this was one of the best, after a slew of AI and weak author slop we finally get another good cultivation litrpg

The plot was intriguing and the world building was unique. I originally chose the book because of this and the narrators voice. The only off-putting part was the narrator’s tendency to yell in an over exaggerated manner. Basically he was conveying the unnecessary yelling present in some anime. Thankfully this was lessened as the story progressed. If you can deal with it then I’d recommend giving it a listen.

Good Story Line, narration needs refinement

One of my favorite books of 2025 thus far. In the beginning, I wasn't a big fan of how naive the MC was. But the more you read the more everything about him makes sense. He definitely has the street smarts that come with being an Orphan and the hardiness a lot of authors seem to miss when making characters with a rough upbringing. The MC probably has the lowest starting point I've read in a character since Re:Zero and makes a decent amount of mistakes. However, his development is pretty awe-inspiring. His potential grows hand in hand with his capabilities. Towards the end, after suffering a major setback we see the MC go from a seed planted in concrete to a bud that breaks through.

My personal hope for book 2 is for the MC to develop with the scars of his suffering. After reading about what he has been through This MC should never be a Superman build in terms of personality and more Antihero kind of like batman if the author intends on him being a good guy.

This book should Easily blow up.
