AWESOME NESS

I've meant to give a review for awhile, but I like to listen to this story late at night/going to sleep. And...I kept falling asleep around chapter 7. Nothing doing to the writing or performance; that was all Great. Just bad timing on my part. AWESOMENESS.

Tired protagonist makes an interesting character. Great cast acting.

Really enjoyed the effect of the full cast reading the book. Protagonist is world weary but interesting.

I bought the original one and most of the others in the series. While I enjoyed the story in the original version there was something a little lacking due to only one voice actor. This dramatized version with a full cast is worth it!!!! Many times better, I will look out for the next one.

MAGNIFICENT!

Other than this series, I cannot think of a single LitRPG in which the MC is trying to retire to a normal life after years on the top of the heap. Of course, in this case, nothing goes quite as planned.

Everything fits together very well. No plot holes. This story has action, adventure, drama, mystery, and even hints of romance.
I adore Graphic Audio's sound effects, score, and the various voice actors for the various roles. Wyn Delano (Prof Pendleton in Super Powereds) is fantastic, as is everyone else. I can't think of a single actor who wasn't very good in this book.

Please make dramatized adaptations of more books in this series!

This was so good that I broke my own rule and bought the next book immediately, instead of waiting for a sale.

Great Narration, Terrible Writing

Graphic Audio did a great job with this travesty of a story. The author tried to make the MC into a stoic ex-soldier, and instead made an emotionless idiot savant. The lack of emotion and overemphasis on edgy intimidation make the MC completely unrelatable. The lack of general knowledge on many of the topics the MC does talk about is cringeworthy. At one point, the MC tells a normal boy with no powers that a knife is better than a sword. There are many instances like this in the story.
As a final note, the tags in the description are very misleading. This is not a cultivation story; the "system" is barely mentioned and is more of a side thought than an actual part of the story.

P.S. If you're looking for an actual story about cultivation and farming, I highly recommend Beware of Chicken by Casualfarmer. It is in my opinion a far superior story.
