The realization and pain that the words bring back

This is perfect for someone many years past a toxic relationship like Ethan and Sloan it hurts but it is amazing listening to the beginning of the story and picking apart the red flags that I had once fallen for.

such a relatable story

I loved this book!! I'm sad it got so many low stars on goodreads. I thought the story was very relatable to what a women goes through when they're involved in a toxic relationship. I could not stop reading and very much enjoyed the book.

Great story!

I loved/hated that it was not a happy ending but as a mom of a young girl I watched this several times with my daughter before she saw the light!

That she was so blind to see Ethan was not for her after so long.

How long it took sloane to realize ethan was not her person is was mad me upset at times.

The truth of waiting.

I loved how it’s finally seen that it’s not that it’s so easy to leave but it’s not that you can’t leave. It’s what’s holding you from leaving and the choice of why you don’t want to leave. I loved how the perspective of how hurt a person can get from another person even though you’ve never been with them to begin with. this is my current situation in a book right now , and i’m still waiting for him.

The realness of being stuck in the situation

Liked. I think it needed more depth of why she was so hung up especially it being so many bad moments. At the end she said she was holding onto the good moments but as the listener there was maybe 2 to 3 and hours of bad.

Frustrating Characters

Both male & female characters were frustrating in different ways. The male character was broken with no desire to fix himself and the female character was weak & obsessed to the point she seemed pathetic.

It’s honest.

It shows how toxic a situationship can get. But there’s no growth. Sloan was desperate for a guy who told her and showed her multiple times that he doesn’t want her. It’s sad. But real. I was hoping for more.

Not a good story

Every scene involves drinking and the conversations do not sound realistic. The book is just very shallow

Leaves me wanting more

This is such a great book especially because it’s something so many people can relate to that almost guy or as many now say “casi algo” i’m obsessed and i recommended!
