Publisher's summary

For some, first love is a fleeting spark heralding the greater loves to come. For others, first love is the greatest love. The only love.

When a music audition at the world-renowned LaGuardia Arts High School brings together two thirteen-year-olds, unassuming Aurelia Ramirez Preston and confident Chadwick David, the serendipitous encounter becomes an unbreakable friendship.

A friendship develops into an unyielding love—a love spanning decades and continents.

With New York City as their playground, best friends Chad and Aurelia navigate the turbulence of adolescence. They blossom, and so does their love. An awkward first date turns into a night of intoxicating kisses and together, they lose their innocence.

Years later, Chad is “Maestro,” the tattooed virtuoso, the James Dean of classical music.

And Aurelia is an accomplished cellist. His muse. The enduring love behind his greatness.

But when the maestro falters, even for a moment, the most beautiful symphony can spiral into unrelenting chaos. And the greatest of loves can become the most tragic heartbreak.

Maestro is a symphony of words, four movements filled with longing, secrets, betrayal, and the grace of forgiveness.

I have never felt so much in a book

I loved the characters and the story line of shitty timing and poor communication. I cried, I laughed, I gasped, and I hurt in this story! One of my favorite books to date! Chad and Aurelia’s story had me wanting to squeeze them both in a big freaking hug!

A beautifully tragic romance

This is a story of two young teens auditioning in New York at the famous LaGuardia aka Fame school of music, arts, drama, dance high school. To home in their craft of the preforming arts. But as Auriella and Chad David sit next to each other. Chad is confident and wants to get to know her. She is shy and doesn’t believe the beautiful boy with a slight British accent is talking to her. There begins their budding friendship that turns into being best friends then more. But being so young their parents caution them not to profess their underwear glove for one another. Their future is so bright why throw away opportunities if presented. Then in their senior year of high school during Christmas break Chad makes the decision that will throw them off. Not knowing that decision will effect them for 2 decades. And that the two people who thought they were helping them was actually destroying their happily ever after. Reading this book made me want to chuck the book because of the many obstacles this author put Auriella and Chad through.

But listening to this sort of made me side eye Kylie Stewart efforts in speaking Tagalog words cringe. When she said the word Tagalog I knew she wasn’t Filipino in anyways and made me want to stop listening to this. But I am glad I didn’t, I just paced myself because of all the feelings I was feeling.

Masterpiece

I was recently given the opportunity to listen to Maestro on Audiobook, I have read this book so I didn’t know what to expect when I find out it was being Narrated and was going to be a Audiobook. The Narrators Kylie Stewart and Alastair Haynesbridge were Brilliant they definitely brought this Beautiful Love story to life. This was my first time listening to both of these Narrators. This story was so beautifully written by Auden Dar she has put so much love into this story that it definitely needed to be put on a audiobook. Chad and Aurelia had such a Love that it spanned decade. This Book truly needs to be read and I highly recommend the audiobook as well. This was my Favorite Read of 2022 and Now it’s my Favorite Audiobook of 2023. 5 stars across the Board. Thank you Auden Dar for writing such a Beautiful Love Story ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Emotional roller coaster

Such a good book but it pretty much made me cry the entire time. Terrible case of bad timing and different paths.

Maestro breaks you and builds you back up

What can I say? Right person but the timing is always wrong, until it isn’t but the journey to the HEA is worth it! So much nostalgia it took me back to that time. Love it!

Totally worth it

Narrating a book is a difficult job. But both of these narrators, telling a beautiful yet tragic story.. honestly breathtaking. For a lady on their next roadtrip- please give this a try.
