I've spent the last two years playing the deadliest game of hide and seek.

My tormentor knows no bounds, and I'm done being his prey. In another new city, I'm hoping this is the place where I finally find peace and those parts of myself I've lost along the way. New name, new hair, new clothes…new me. I'm determined for it to stick this time, desperate for a quiet existence to escape the horrors chasing me. The last thing I expect to find is more of what I'm running from.

Violence. Murder. Manipulation.

Except here, three dangerous men have me in their sights. Instead of wanting to clip my wings and keep me in a gilded cage, they're offering me something I have long forgotten—Freedom.

When trouble comes calling, and nightmares crawl out of shadows... Don't you want the biggest monsters on your side?

The Secrets We Keep is a dark reverse harem romance duet intended for mature listeners.

The narration seemed forced and monotone. At times sounded like AI. I think the book has more potential and I was disappointed that I couldn’t just read it myself.

I would have iked the male voice to be done by the men and not the woman when she is telling her side of the story

The protectors

I really enjoyed the story, enough that I’m planning to get the next book. However, I’ll be downloading it on my kindle instead. The female reader lacks any & ALL emotion. Everything is read in the same monotone voice, regardless of the gender of whichever character she’s reading for. Excitement, fear, anger & even the spicy scenes.. Everything sounded like the characters are bored out of their minds. During a spicy elevator scene, she reads “yes, that!” in a straight up deadpan tone. It totally caught me off guard & I had to rewind it, thinking maybe there was an issue with the recording & maybe it skipped a section & we were in a totally different scene. Nope.
One of the male characters was angry & shouting something & it sounded like he was rolling his eyes at the conversation instead of being really upset.
When she’s voicing the any of the male characters as they try to comfort the MFC, they all sound as if they’re a frustrated parent trying to lecture a small child. I was so irritated throughout the whole book.

Female voice is seriously lacking

So so so good! I liked that it was a medium burn romance and the sp!c3 was sooo hot! I need book 2 immediately!! The way this book ended, I just knew it was going to happen but gahhhh I was not expecting to get chills.

Ahhh! I knew it!!

it felt like a diluted version of Den of Vipers. Also the timing was weird in the sense of how time passed. It felt a little rushed and skipped over.

Underwhelmed.
