Imagine waking up from your college party four way only to learn one of the participants is your new step brother. While I would have died Briar didn’t.

A really fun story that’s easy to get lost in. I will say I was expecting more bullying from the guys and was pleasantly surprised this isn’t that kind story.

I really love the twins. And I can’t wait to learn more about Cole and Travis. Briar isn’t a total pushover which I appreciate I just which the poor girl didn’t run into or fall over everything.

I can truly say I’m not totally sure where this is going but I’m excited for the ride.

The narration is great!

This is the third book of Lily's that I have read, and it definitely won't be my last. I was pulled in from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. The chemistry between Briar, Sawyer, Asher, Cole, and Travis is off the charts. I love the push and pull between them all and can't wait to see how it will progress over the series.

The book ended on an amazing cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series A Revenge So Sweet.

Cecily did an amazing job on the narration. She really knows how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, college romances, stepbrother romances, or why choose romances.

Spicy reverse harem college romance

This is book 1 in a trilogy. It starts of pretty spicy and unexpected! 🔥 Briar's mom remarried and moved Briar to Serenity Falls. Briar never expected to gain a stepbrother and his group of friends who she is very attracted to. They all start college together but Briar isn't from this uber rich world. Briar goes through her fair share of bullying. There's a lot of wondering will the guys and Briar give in.... again? The 💍 really came out of nowhere for me! Briar's mom and stepfather definitely have a agenda! I'm curious to see where the next book is going. This book ends on a pretty big cliffhanger, that needs me needing more information about Briar's past. So far, a good start to this fast paced and spicy series. Plus there are some puppies too 🙂.

I have really enjoyed others series (both contemporary and fantasy/paranormal) from this author but I was kinda worried about the warning about how dark this series was. To be so far its not dark so don’t let that deter you or anything. I just had waited to be in the right mind space for this book and was happy to see it wasn’t what I thought it was going to be. I wish I had started it sooner!

This book started with a bang, literally hahaha. It was so sexy, so fun to live through Briar and wish I had done that in college! Boy does her world turn upside when she realizes she just did some sexy things with her stepbrother and his besties. The tension in this book is great, I loved seeing them try to stay away (except one who didnt participate that night when they first met) and one by one they fell for her. There was so longing and some hard-fought moments between them but I was happy to see at least one break through in book 1 and we didnt have to wait til book 2 for that. Briar goes through a lot in this book, the plot is jammed packed and it makes it go really fast (like while I was listening I didnt realize how fast I was going through it because I was so engaged and lost in the story). I absolutely loved some of the guys, their personalities are some of my favorite themes/types. I am not a fan of one yet but that because he hasn’t gotten his stick out of his you know where quite yet. One is more recent so I will hold judgement for him but the twins....yes please 😍😍😍. And did I forget to mention the puppies?!?! This book made me smile quite a bit besides the tough topics (murder, assault, etc.). I still want Briar though to confront her mother and hold her accountable for everything, we saw some glimpses but based on how she threw Briar for a loop when she came home this summer, I would have thought it would have been more confrontations/blow-ups. Maybe that will come in book 2. I enjoyed the side characters in this story too. I am glad Briar made some friends and the baddies in this one are done well too, really makes the story come to life. I cannot wait for book 2, I had to download the ebook to see what happened after that ending! Thank goodness the series is complete now or I would have been aching after that cliffy (in the best way though since I love them) ❤️.

In terms of narration, I haven’t listened to her before but I was really surprised and happy with her performances. I thought I would miss having a male narrator but that wasn’t the case here. She did a good job with all the different personalities. There wasn’t so much a lot of accents, but the tone and intonations were done well so you knew like the stepdad was talking or the meek nerdy guy friend haha. The darker aspects of the story I thought were enhanced by the performance from the narrator. You could feel the angst, the tension, the heartbreak, the FEAR, really a good job sinking into these characters and honing in on the important parts to emphasize and the nuances needed.

Easily 5/5 stars from me, highly recommend. Will be getting book 2 once its available on audio laters this month!

when to use a cliff hanger, when not to

the story is not nearly developed enough to be chopped up. on top of that I'm a firm believer a cliffhanger should only be used after a complete storyline. the book should be in itself whole, but additional plots are hinted at in the book and the cliffhanger is the next books teaser.

Addicting!

Oh my gosh this story was so addicting I couldn’t stop! I just wanted to keep listening because so o could find out what would happen next. This was my first book by this author and will not be my last! If you’re wanting a quick solid read with an intriguing plot and characters that will drive you wild then I suggest giving this a go. The narration was done very well and I enjoyed listening to this one!

Briar is strong. The men are enigmatic. The chemistry is sizzling hot. The world building is original, and interesting. The storyline is fast-paced, filled with suspense, secrets, mystery, and twists and turns. As expected, this installment ends with a cliffhanger, and I am looking forward to listening to A Revenge so Sweet, the next book in the series. The very talented Cecily Foster did an amazing job narrating this story. She brought to life this twisted tale written by Lily Wildhart. I have so many questions that I’m hoping book 2 answer, but they didn’t take anyway from the enjoyment of the story.

This is the first book in The Saints of Serenity Falls series. Briar meets three guys at a party one night. Then the next morning she is introduced to her new stepfather and stepbrother. Her new stepbrother is one of the guys from the night before. Things get interesting for Briar and the guys. At the same time strange things start happening around Briar. This book ends on one heck of a twist and cliffhanger! I was not ready. Cecily Foster did a great job narrating.

A Burn so Deep is the first book in The Saints of Serenity series. This is my first book by this author and I loved every minute of it. I couldn't put the book down. I had to keep listening to see what happened next.

This book is about Briar, Cole, Travis, Sawyer, and Asher. Briar returns home after a summer away to realize her mother has remarried and has a new husband and stepson. Briar unintentionally meets said stepson and his friends at a party.

Something happens at this party, that makes her new stepbrother want nothing to do with her. Briar is a strong heroine, and I loved every minute of this book. She is put through the wringer and fights her way through everything that is thrown at her.

I can't wait to see how her story ends up, and if she gets her happy ending.

I'm not the biggest fan of bu77y or university stories but this one hit differently. I thoroughly enjoyed it the entire time.
The steam and suspense had me on the edge of my seat. I really enjoy the heroine, Briar. And who doesn't like puppies?
But that cliffhanger...
I need to know what happens next!

I was pleasantly surprised by this book! Immediately Briar’s banter and inner monologue had me cracking up with joy from the first few lines. She is a character for sure! And definitely added to my enjoyment while listening to this book.

Her boys were unaware of who she was when they first met her at a party, and lets just say…things turn hot and sizzling in one night of pleasure.

After that night, well here is when things get interesting. Not only does Briar find out she has a stepbrother, but a stepbrother who she slept with, and not only her stepbrother, but also his best friends!

The bullying comes in hot and fast, only adding intensity to the situation and leaving me permanently hanging off the edge of my seat 😂. But still, there’s an undercurrent of lust and desire under all that hate. And you know what they say..hate is also lust.

I loved listening to every second of this. Lily Wildhart really took you on the most amazing wildest of rides, and I never wanted it to end. This is a seriously underrated book, and should be hyped up to the max. If you are interested in this books premise, then you won’t be disappointed at what you find inside it’s pages. 💗

Briar returns home from being away to find her life flipped completely upside down.

Cole, her new stepbrother is not the most inviting, but that could have to do with the way they first met.

Travis, Sawyer, and Asher are all Cole's best friends and all part of the whole shebang. (See what I did there?)

This story took quite a few left turns and had me a questioning why this was all happening, I know the answers will be revealed in later books, but I want them now! This book was really good and kept me interested and intrigued all the way through and I can't wait for all the answers to be revealed.

Cecily Foster did an amazing job on the narration for this one!

Heat, Intrigue and More!

After spending the summer with her father’s new family Briar arrives home to find out that not only is her mother out of town that she has recently remarried. She now finds herself an outcast in her new school due to the actions of her stepbrother and his friends even though the first time they met the situation was much different.

When Travis finds out who Briar is he is determined to keep his distance and in the beginning his friends follow his lead. As time passes first Sawyer, then Asher and then Cole give in to their feelings but there is a lot going on that she doesn’t know about including the danger she finds herself in.

Briar has a difficult past which has only made her stronger, more resilient and determined to not back down from anyone. Each of the men bring something different to the relationship and after the cliffhanger I can’t wait to see what the future hold. I thought that the narrator did a great job conveying the different personalities as well as the heat and intrigue of the story. 🎧 Pink Flamingo Productions

Seriously Hot

I loved this book and Briar is a great heroine she has experienced trauma and is trying to get a life that she wants. Coming back from California for the summer spending time with her dad and his new family she is in for a shock when her mother marries someone and did not have the courtesy to tell her. Briar is understandably angry to get over her anger she goes to a party and meets Travis, Sawyer, and Cole. Spending and unforgettable night together she is shocked the next morning when she meets her new step brother and his friends. This book has a professor that hates Briar for reason that are disturbing women being attacked on campus and one dying and triggers that Briar is trying to process. And as usual the parents are the absolute worse but I can not wait to listen to book two.

Audiobook obsession reviewer, flock reviewer

This is a book that had me incredibly involved. I was shocked at how quickly i fell for these characters and their world. I loved their chemistry and their journey. However i will say there are triggers, and you should heed them but if you are like me without triggers then this is for you.
