Publisher's summary

Eternal life comes with its own set of problems. Walking corpses wasn’t one of them.

Dorian awakens and discovers the world turned a little bit more...uncivilized.

For a vampire, the old way of things were just that–the old way. And they worked. Hunting for sustenance wasn’t so literal of a term until now.

Dorian’s plight for a simple meal is now a three-way bloodbath between himself, the undead, and a band of zealous humans eager to cut him down.

Years of hunting has made Dorian into the ultimate hunter; a realization humans are about to experience…again.

Run from the dead.

Run from him.

It won’t make a difference.

Everyone’s dead anyway.

Pretty good!

A hungry vampire during a zombie apocalypse! interesting and worth the credit. I love the narrator and all the sound effects. I couldn't stop listening.

Hard to listen to

The story is very good, but it's narrated like a true crime show. The "Dun dun dun" and dramatic sound effects made it hard to immerse into the story.

Painfully juvenile story

So coming from the "Zombie Fallout" series, I immediately liked the premise of this book. obviously the writers are different, so it's completely unfair to compare them.... however the way the story is written is really REALLY repetitive. the sound affects of the audio book completely ruin any immersion the book tries to do.
it's a real shame. I found myself cringing at the characters dialog constantly.

It was alright

I finished it, so I didn’t think it was Horrible, but I think that some of the things the character did were confusing conceptually.

Some of the things he did were great and totally made sense, but sometimes he was awkward AF. I loved his little quirk about needing to be clean.

It’s a quick ok read and the narrator’s voice was appealing.

A bit repetitive

It was OK. I've read worse but have read better! The repetitive verbiage made listening a little monotonous, story had a few flaws, but I finished it and will probably listen to the next one .

Hard to sit through

Struggled to sit through it. It had promise that quickly fell short. The concept was a good idea but the story just kept losing me and was ridiculously predictable. it seemed as though it was written for young teens, not adults. I would not recommend it!

I wouldn't bother.

I wasn't very happy with this book unfortunately. I loved the concept of vampires and zombies. I felt that it could have more detail to it, it was almost like it was constantly jumping around and everything happened fast. It didn't allowed it to build up or really explain what was happening. I could have done without the sound effects I found them annoying to be honest.

Waste of credit

Unless you enjoy a main character that has no redeeming value. The main character is a vampire in the zombie apocalypse who lures younger people by acting as if he’d save them from the zombies only to drain all their blood once they go with their “savior”. Not sure why the author even gives so much info on the future victims. Tried to skip to the end hoping somebody kills him but got tired of the very descriptive blood sucking scenes.

can't say anything nice about it, yes I listen to the full story and it truly goes nowhere and was a wasted time.

repetitive

vampire >100 years old, still can't do ANYTHING right and has no self control. also, why does he keep killing off the humans?! properly managed, we are an infinitely renewable food resource. horses, too!
