In this series, sex is a main part of the story. So if you don’t like in-depth depictions of sex acts, either skip this story or be ready to hit the “skip 30 seconds” button.

With that said, both voice actors did an amazing job of not sensationalizing the narrations of these scenes.

The relationships between the characters and the world Hadley creates are both a treat. It’s both fun and poignant.

It’s a five book series and this is part 2. I very much look forward to the remaining three.

This story is amazing.

Loved all the main characters! Female lead is strong but not sweet but not all the things everyone looks for without being weak. Love this book so much.

Was not disappointed

The first book of this series was more of a slow burn. I'm so glad I continued with this one. The character and plot developments continue nicely, and the spice ramps up.

Great 2nd book

I loved this book when it came out and adding narration just makes it better.

Both narrators did a fantastic job bringing this book to life and taking on all the different characters.

I am so looking forward to the next book.

Where did the plot go?

Very little plot movement in this book.

The first book had so much promise. A great worldbuild with a well thought out theology.

I was expecting a lot of book 2! At one point there are five straight chapters of sex. I love dirty books, but holy crow. The author legitimately sacrificed a great story for sex and repetativeness. How many times can we rehash the Sword, shield, temptation and voice? It got old.

I'm very disappointed, and won't be finishing the series.

addictive and creative

I'm a man's man, enjoying mostly action, violence ,and intrigue. This has all that, plus erotica, romance ,and fantasy. This has been a story worth binging on. I'm hopeful this review creates more interest in this story and introduces more fans of the characters involved.

Just wow

I normally don’t listen to books in series because I get bored of the story. This story line is AMAZING. I’m addicted.

Obsessed

I'm obsessed with this series and so happy it's being released on audio. This plot is so unique and I love how these characters form such a tight family. I can't stop swooning over them all, both main and side characters, as wel as the amazing world building and the well thought-out plot.
